Seahawks RB Travis Homer is doubtful to return for Sunday's game against the Rams with a hand injury. He had 0 carries and 3 targets before exiting. We'll update his status when we know more.
The Seahawks have elevated RB Alex Collins from the practice squad to the active roster, putting him in the mix for Sunday's game against the Bills. We wouldn't bet on him becoming a fantasy factor himself, but Seattle could spread touches among Collins, a healthier Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas enough to weaken Dallas' fantasy outlook. It looks at least like a potentially fluid situation.
The Seahawks' final Week 8 injury report lists RB Carlos Hyde (hamstring) as doubtful and RBs Chris Carson (foot) and Travis Homer (knee) as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers. Hyde and Carson were unable to practice all week, while Homer only got in a limited practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll said they'll go "all the way to game time'' before making a decision on these 3 guys. Hyde is obviously unlikely to play, and we're betting against Carson suiting up after he was labeled "week to week" by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Monday. We'll see about Homer. Rookie DeeJay Dallas is Seattle's only healthy RB and at this point looks like the favorite to lead the backfield in touches on Sunday. 49ers-Seahawks doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET, but hopefully we'll get an update on this backfield on Sunday morning.
Seahawks RBs Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and Travis Homer (knee) all remained sidelined on Thursday. We're getting closer to rookie DeeJay Dallas serving as Seattle's lead back vs. the 49ers on Sunday. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Seahawks RBs Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and Travis Homer (knee) all missed Wednesday's practice. That left DeeJay Dallas, who's on the injury report with an arm but put in a full practice, as Seattle's only RB. Carson isn't expected to play vs. the 49ers this weekend, while Hyde and Homer are uncertain. We'll continue to monitor the situation but recommend stashing Dallas in the meantime.
Chris Carson isn't the only Seahawks RB dealing with an injury. HC Pete Carroll said Monday that RB Carlos Hyde has tightness in his hamstring, and RB Travis Homer has a knee bruise. That leaves rookie DeeJay Dallas as the only healthy RB on the roster. Carson will miss Sunday's game against the 49ers, but we'll have to see about Hyde and Homer. Dallas is worth a wait-and-see stash in the meantime.
Seahawks RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) is inactive for tonight’s game against the Vikings. RBs Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas will play behind Chris Carson.
Seahawks RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Vikings. He’ll step back in as Seattle’s #2 RB if he’s able to suit up. If not, it’ll again be Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas behind Chris Carson.
The Seahawks have signed RBs Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. Both guys have experience in Seattle: Lynch from 2010 to 2015 and Turbin from 2012 to 2014. Neither guy has registered a touch this season, though, so it's unclear how big a role they're ready to play. Lynch has at least spent the past 2 weeks training hard in preparation for a return. It'll be Lynch, Turbin and rookie Travis Homer in Seattle's backfield against the 49ers on Sunday night. Homer is still the best fantasy bet of the trio, but it's a situation to try to avoid.
The Seahawks and RB Marshawn Lynch are meeting today about a possible reunion. “Both sides are optimistic he is back wearing 24”, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Seattle is desperate at RB after losing Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) in the Week 16 loss to the Cardinals. Lynch, of course, spent 2011- 2015 with the Seahawks. But he hasn't played since October of 2018, and it's entirely unclear what kind of shape the 33-year-old is in. He wouldn't be a realistic Week 17 fantasy option, but he'd make RB Travis Homer tougher to trust.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said after Sunday's loss to the Cardinals that RBs Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) are both out for the season. Ouch. Seattle figures to add a RB this week, but Travis Homer will now be atop the depth chart. The 6th-round rookie finished with 16 yards on 5 carries but 6 catches for 26 more yards vs. Arizona. He goes 5'10, 201 pounds and earned a 79th percentile SPARQ score in pre-draft testing. Homer will be a volume-based fantasy starter vs. the 49ers next weekend.
Seahawks RB Chris Carson injured his hip in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Cardinals and is officially questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one. RB C.J. Prosise is done for the day with an arm injury. That leaves Travis Homer as Seattle's only healthy RB.
Update: Carson has been ruled out.
The Seahawks selected Miami RB Travis Homer in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The 5'10, 201-pounder helped himself with a 4.48-second 40 time at the Combine, adding a 39.5-inch vertical to earn a 79th percentile SPARQ score. Homer never reached 1,000 yards across 3 college season but averaged 6.0 yards per carry for his career and caught 37 balls over the past 2 years. He offers some change-of-pace potential as a pro.
