Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report. He's set to return to a workhorse role against the 49ers on Sunday.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) got back on the practice field Wednesday. That puts him on track to return for Sunday's game against the 'Niners. Barring a setback, Fournette will be a strong RB1 for Week 16.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) is officially inactive for today’s game against the Texans. The team expects him back for Week 16, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. RB Chris Ivory draws the start today after carrying 37 times across the 2 games Fournette missed earlier this season. Ivory is a viable RB2 against a Houston defense that’s allowed 4.9 yards per carry over its last 5 games. RB T.J. Yeldon will pick up some change-of-pace and pass-catching work. He’s a lower-end RB3 or flex consideration in PPR leagues.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen hears that Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) will not play against the Texans on Sunday. The rookie is listed as questionable but didn't practice all week. This is a game Jacksonville should be able to win without him. In the 2 games Fournette missed earlier this season, RB Chris Ivory carried 37 times and saw 4 targets. RB T.J. Yeldon tallied 20 carries and 6 targets. Expect a similar split vs. Houston.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans. He didn’t practice all week but told reporters on Thursday that he’ll play. We’ll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. If active, Fournette will remain a must-start in season-long fantasy leagues — albeit with elevated risk. In the 2 games Fournette missed earlier this season, RB Chris Ivory totaled 37 carries and 4 targets. RB T.J. Yeldon picked up 20 carries and 6 targets. Expect a similar split this weekend if Fournette is out.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. So it looks like Wednesday was more than a rest day. It's still possible that the rookie returns to practice on Friday and plays against the Texans on Sunday, but fantasy owners can no longer take his Week 15 availability for granted. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith has cleared the league concussion protocol, making him eligible to return for Sunday's game against the Texans. Smith should go right back into IDP lineups, assuming he's active.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (quad) did not practice on Wednesday. We're guessing this is more of a rest day after the rookie carried 24 times in last weekend's win over the Seahawks. It's also worth noting that Fournette was listed with a quad, not the ankle that's hampered him for most of the season. We're fully expecting him to play against the Texans on Sunday, but we'll get another update tomorrow.
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith (concussion) is inactive for today’s game against the Seahawks. CB Jalen Ramsey (hand) is active. Both statuses were expectdd
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith (concussion) is not expected to play against the Seahawks today. The team hasn't appeared to update his status since deeming the LB questionable Friday afternoon. That's odd, because teams generally rule players out when they don't clear the concussion protocol by Saturday. Smith practiced Wednesday and Thursday but then sat out Friday. Paul Posluszny becomes a high-upside IDP starter with Smith out.
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against Seattle, but there's been no report of him clearing the league protocol as of Saturday morning. The status suggests the team hopes he can clear it Saturday and play, but IDP owners need to secure insurance. LB Paul Posluszny would be a fantasy starter if Smith sits again. CB Jalen Ramsey is also questionable with the same ankle injury that landed him on the Week 13 injury report. He put in just a limited practice Friday after missing the previous 2 days, a lower participation level than last week. We'll check Ramsey's status Sunday morning.
Jaguars LB Telvin Smith put in a full practice Wednesday, signaling a likely return from the concussion that cost him last week's game against the Colts. He'll still need to complete the protocol but should be ready for IDP lineups in Week 14.
The Jaguars have ruled OLB Telvin Smith out for Sunday's game against the Colts because of a concussion. LB Paul Posluszny played a season-high 72.6% of the snaps last week, when Smith left early. Poz should be in for a full-time role against Indy and makes sense as an IDP fill-in for the high-upside matchup.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. According to insider Ryan O'Halloran, it was the rookie's 1st full practice since November 10. Fournette is trending in a good direction ahead of a nice matchup this weekend at home for the Colts.
Jaguars LB Telvin Smith suffered a concussion in Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Smith initially passed a concussion test and returned to the field, but he left again shortly thereafter and was diagnosed. We'll see how long the injury keeps him out.
Redskins RB Chris Thompson has a fractured fibula and needs surgery, HC Jay Gruden said after Sunday's loss to the Saints. It's a season-ending injury for Thompson. This is a massive loss for Washington. Thompson entered Week 11 leading the team in both rushing and receiving yards. There's no one else on the roster who can do what he does. RB Samaje Perine saw some passing-down action vs. the Saints but dropped 1 of his 2 targets. He might get a slight boost in that facet going forward, but don't expect big receiving production. Most of Thompson's targets figure to be spread among Washington's WRs and TEs.
Redskins RB Chris Thompson was carted off the field in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game in New Orleans with his right leg in an air cast. It obviously looks like a serious injury. It's a big loss for fantasy owners and an even bigger loss for the Redskins.
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) is active for today’s game against the Browns. He was reportedly a game-time decision after being held out of Friday’s practice, so it’s tough to believe that he’s anywhere close to 100%. We’re expecting bigger roles for RBs Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon today. Fournette is more of a borderline RB1 than his usual high-end RB1.
The Jaguars are "optimistic" about RB Leonard Fournette's (ankle) availability for today's game against the Browns, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. A final decision won't be made until pregame warmups, though. An active Fournette would be virtually impossible to bench in season-long fantasy leagues, but the ankle issue lowers his ceiling and floor. Check back around noon ET for his official status.
Bengals TE Tyler Eifert recently underwent surgery to remove a cyst on his knee, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Eifert is already recovering from an October back surgery that's expected to sideline him 4-6 months. We'll be curious to see what kind of deal he lands when he hits free agency in March,
