Shark Bites

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is active for today's game against the Texans. He played through a "questionable" tag and similarly light practice schedule in Week 3 and proved to be a fine IDP option. Go ahead and start Geathers if he makes sense for your Week 4 lineup.

11:09am EDT 9/30/18

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Texans. Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines will again share backfield duties for Indy.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring) is not expected to play against the Texans today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That'll again leave the backfield to Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. Both are low-end fantasy options, with Wilkins the better bet in non-PPR and Hines in PPR.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. Just like last week, Geathers missed practice Wednesday, put in a full workout Thursday and then sat out Friday. Geathers played through a "questionable" tag in Week 3 after following the same practice schedule, so we'll assume he's on track to play this week as well. We'll confirm his status Sunday morning, of course.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans after a limited week of practice. We’ll find out his status by noon ET on Sunday, but Mack shouldn’t be in your Week 4 fantasy plans.

Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is out for Sunday's game against the Texans. There's no timetable for his return. With Doyle sidelined last weekend, TE Eric Ebron played 88% of the snaps and saw 11 targets. That usage makes him a TE1 play for Week 4.

Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) remained sidelined on Wednesday. HC Frank Reich labeled him "week-to-week" last week, so fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on Doyle to play against the Texans on Sunday.

Colts S Clayton Geathers is active for today's game against the Eagles. He entered the day questionable with knee and elbow injuries but is OK for normal usage in IDP lineups.

Colts S Clayton Geathers is questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. He's listed with knee and elbow injuries. Geathers returned to a full practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. But then he missed Friday's workout as well. We'll see about his status Sunday.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) is not listed on the final injury report. He put in a full practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days, so the quad shouldn’t be an issue. Hilton is in line for a boatload of targets vs. the Eagles with TE Jack Doyle sidelined.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring, foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles. That'll again leave the backfield to Jordan Wilkins, Nyheim Hines and Christine Michael. With Mack out Week 1, Wilkins tallied 17 touches, Hines 12 and Michael 2. Wilkins is the best non-PPR bet; Hines in PPR. But we'd try to avoid the backfield against a stout Eagles run defense.

Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is out for Sunday's game against the Eagles. We don't have any details on his injury, but he didn't practice all week. Consider him questionable at best for Week 4. Doyle's absence this weekend should mean a big boost in snaps and targets for TE Eric Ebron. He's a nice Week 3 fantasy play.

UPDATE: HC Frank Reich labeled Doyle "week-to-week" on Friday.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring, foot) missed practice again on Friday. Considering he was sidelined for nearly a month with this hamstring problem the first time around, consider him doubtful to play against the Eagles this weekend. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. We don't have any more information, but it's certainly fair to wonder about his availability for this weekend's game against the Eagles. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow. Doyle's absence would turn Eric Ebron into a locked-in TE1.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He said earlier in the day that his quad injury is "nothing to worry about" and that he "should be fine." But he'll be a risky Week 3 fantasy play if he doesn't return to at least a limited practice tomorrow. Check back then for an update.

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton was held out of Wednesday's practice and listed on the injury report with a quad issue. Hilton played 90% of the offensive snaps in last weekend's win over the Redskins and seemed to come out of the game fine. We're guessing he'll be fine for Week 3, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring, foot) missed Wednesday's practice. The hamstring is particularly worrisome after he missed most of August and the season opener with a bum hammy. We'll see if Mack is able to get back on the practice field tomorrow. His absence would leave the backfield to Jordan Wilkins and Hyheim Hines against the Eagles on Sunday.

Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) didn't practice on Wednesday. It's the 1st we've heard of the issue, and this might just be a veteran's day off. Check back tomorrow for another update on Doyle.

Colts RB Jordan Wilkins injured his ankle in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Redskins and is questionable to return. He had been working in a 3-way committee with Marlon Mack and Nyheim Hines. We'll update Wilkins' status when we learn more.

UPDATE: Wilkins returned in the 2nd half.

Colts S Clayton Geathers (knee) is active for today's game in Washington. He missed practice Friday, though, and carries added risk into the game. He's an option for IDP leagues but sits in DB3 territory in our Week 2 IDP rankings.
