Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster aggravated his knee injury in Thursday's practice and is now expected to miss Sunday night's game against the Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That would keep James Washington and Diontae Johnson as the top 2 WRs for what shapes up as the week's worst situation for offensive fantasy production.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice after being a full-go on Wednesday. NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports that Smith-Schuster left practice early on Thursday -- although it's unclear if he suffered a setback or if Pittsburgh is just playing it safe. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's confirmation that he'll return for Sunday night's game against the Bills. Consider Smith-Schuster just a WR3 vs. Buffalo's 5th-ranked WR defense.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) put in a full practice on Wednesday. That puts him on track to return for Sunday night's game against the Bills. Conner should slide back in as Pittsburgh's lead back -- although he'll come with elevated risk after lasting just 13 snaps the last time he tried to return from this shoulder injury.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is "eyeing" a return for Sunday night's game against the Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. JuJu has been out since suffering a knee injury and a concussion on the same play in Week 11. We'll track his practice participation this week. If he plays, he'll just be a WR3 in a tough matchup and with Pittsburgh deploying a conservative offense under QB Devlin Hodges.
Steelers TE Vance McDonald sustained a concussion in the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Cardinals. It's his 2nd documented concussion. We'll track his progress through the protocol this week. McDonald's absence would leave Nick Vannett as Pittsburgh's top TE.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He labeled himself "week-to-week" earlier this week. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will again serve as Pittsburgh's top 2 WRs in Arizona.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) ruled himself out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He's been a limited participant in practice lately but seems to be playing it safe after re-injuring the shoulder last time out. Consider him questionable for Week 15. Conner's absence means another game as lead back for Benny Snell this weekend. He tallied 37 carries but just 2 targets over the past 2 games.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He was limited in the final 2 workouts last week before missing the Browns game, so this doesn't tell us a whole lot. We'll get another update on Conner tomorrow.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) labeled himself "week-to-week." He told reporters that he did some straight-line running on Wednesday but still hasn't resumed cutting yet. He's obviously a long shot to play against the Cardinals this weekend. That keeps James Washington and Diontae Johnson atop the WR depth chart.
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said RB James Conner (shoulder) "has a chance" to practice on Wednesday but remains questionable for this weekend's game against the Cardinals. Conner put in a pair of limited practices last week but didn't seem close to play vs. the Browns. RB Benny Snell will remain a volume-based fantasy starter if Conner misses Week 14.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) is inactive for today’s game against the Browns. Benny Snell should operate as Pittsburgh’s lead back after handling 21 carries in last week's win over the Bengals.
The Steelers list RB James Conner (shoulder) as doubtful for this weekend's game against the Browns. He got in a couple of limited practices this week but evidently isn't quite ready to go yet. Benny Snell should again serve as Pittsburgh's lead back on Sunday after handling 21 carries in last week's win over the Bengals.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Browns. He’s cleared the concussion protocol but remains sidelined with the knee injury. James Washington and Diontae Johnson will get another game as Pittsburgh’s top 2 WRs but are just WR4s in fantasy lineups with Devlin Hodges under center.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) put in a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game against the Browns. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has cleared the concussion protocol but remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice with his knee injury. His availability for this weekend's game against the Browns is up in the air. Check back tomorrow for another update on his status.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Steelers are expected to start QB Devlin Hodges in Week 13 against the Browns. It's the sensible move after HC Mike Tomlin yanked Mason Rudolph last week and Hodges promptly threw a long, game-deciding TD pass to WR James Washington. This still isn't a position we're touching in most fantasy situations. But getting Rudolph out of the way should increase the upside of Pittsburgh's offensive skill guys.
Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) suggested in a Monday radio appearance that he's not expecting to return for this weekend's game against the Browns. "It’ll be a little longer,” Conner said “I’m definitely making progress on it. Getting a lot more strength in there, more stabilization. It’s one of those things that as a player I have to be smart with because if I continue to play without it being stable, then eventually surgery will need to be done. So, I just need to wait till I have enough stabilization and strength and that tendon gets a little bit stronger." Rookie Benny Snell stepped in as Pittsburgh's lead back last week, taking 21 carries for 98 yards. He'll be in the RB2 mix for Week 13 assuming Conner is out again.
Colts TE Eric Ebron needs surgery on both of his ankles and will be placed on IR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ebron is averaging 4.7 targets and 2.8 catches per game. A big chunk of that work now figures to go to TE Jack Doyle, who has a shot at top-12 production the rest of the way. TE Mo Alie-Cox should also see a bump in playing time. He's worth monitoring and perhaps adding now in deep fantasy leagues.
Steelers QB Mason Rudolph was benched early in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game in Cincinnati. He completed 8 of 16 passes for just 85 scoreless yards and an INT. QB Devlin Hodges has replaced Rudolph. Pittsburgh's passing game remains a situation best avoided in fantasy lineups.
