Shark Bites

49ers TE George Kittle broke a bone in his ankle during the Week 9 win over the Cardinals, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Kittle somehow finished out that game but has been sidelined the past 2 weeks. The ankle still isn't fully healed, according to Schefter, but Kittle is expected to play against the Packers tonight. It obviously adds risk to his Week 12 outlook. We'll see how he fares.

Matt Maiocco reports that the 49ers consider TE George Kittle a "game-time decision" for Sunday night's game against the Packers. Maiocco says that Kittle's goal "all along" has been to return for the Green Bay game. We'll keep an eye out for some indication early Sunday that the Niners expect him to play. If you're trying to wait on Kittle, though, you'll need to make sure you have insurance.

Niners WR Deebo Samuel is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Packers because of a shoulder injury that limited his practice time this week after knocking him out for a portion of last Sunday's game. Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, however, reports that the team expects Samuel to play. There's some extra risk here, but Samuel belongs in fantasy-starter consideration.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Packers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and has sounded optimistic about his availability. That late kickoff makes it a tricky situation for fantasy owners, though. Hopefully we get a Kittle update on Sunday morning.

49ers K Robbie Gould (quad) is listed as doubtful for Sunday night’s game against the Packers. Chase McLaughlin will kick again for San Francisco.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday, donning a no-contact jersey. Multiple 49ers beat writers now expect Kittle to play against the Packers on Sunday night. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He played through this injury last week and should be fine for Sunday night's game against the Packers.

WRs Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder), RB Matt Breida (ankle) and TE George Kittle (knee) all missed Wednesday's practice. HC Kyle Shanahan said it'll "come down to the wire" whether they can play against the Packers on Sunday night. Samuel seems most likely to play after returning from his injury last week. And we're betting on Sanders suiting up after playing 36 snaps last week. Breida and Kittle are truly questionable.

Niners DE Dee Ford left Sunday's win over the Cardinals in the 2nd quarter with a hamstring injury. We'll see about his status heading into Sunday night's clash with the Packers. Ford has been up and down while dealing with various lower-body injuries all season, though. He's not much of an IDP factor this year.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel suffered a shoulder injury in the 2nd half of Sunday's game in San Francisco and is officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we learn more.

Update: Samuel returned midway through the 4th quarter.

49ers K Robbie Gould (quad) is inactive for today’s game against the Cardinals. Chase McLaughlin kicks again for the ‘Niners.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Cardinals. TE Ross Dwelley ran a route on 84% of QB Jimmy Garoppolo's drop backs and garnered 7 targets with Kittle out last week. He's on the spot-start radar in today’s plus matchup.

49ers K Robbie Gould (quad) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Chase McLaughlin will kick again for the ‘Niners. He connected on 3 of 4 FG attempts in last week’s loss to the Seahawks and is a viable Week 11 fantasy play with San Francisco sporting a big 27.5-point implied total.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Fantasy owners should obviously plan on being without him this week. Kittle’s absence leaves Ross Dwelley as San Francisco’s likely pass-catching TE. He’s a fantasy flier in this plus matchup vs. Arizona’s league-worst TE defense.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that TE George Kittle (knee) won't play against the Cardinals this weekend. He misses a golden matchup -- and the early rule-out suggests that Kittle might miss time beyond Week 11. With Kittle sidelined last week, TE Ross Dwelley ran a route on 84% of QB Jimmy Garoppolo's drop backs and garnered 7 targets. He's on the spot-start radar in this week's plus matchup.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. HC Kyle Shanahan has been non-committal on his availability for this weekend's game against the Cardinals. Check back tomorrow for another update -- but start lining up a backup plan for Week 11 fantasy lineups.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee) is inactive, as expected, for tonight's game against the Seahawks. Ross Dwelley is the best fantasy bet among 'Niners TEs but is just a cheap flier in DFS games.

49ers K Robbie Gould (quad) is listed as doubtful for Week 10. Chase McLaughlin will kick for the 'Niners against the Seahawks on Monday night.

49ers TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) missed practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game against the Seahawks. Fantasy owners need to find a replacement. Ross Dwelley figures to step in as San Francisco's lead pass-catching TE but would be a desperation fantasy play.

Niners TE George Kittle's status is "in doubt" for Monday night's game against the Seahawks, according to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco. Kittle is dealing with knee and ankle injuries that kept him out of Thursday and Friday practices. The fact that he couldn't practice after the long layoff doesn't bode well. Make sure you have an insurance policy as we await Kittle's game status on Saturday.
