Shark Bites

Bills WR Cole Beasley is "week to week" with a "leg injury," HC Sean McDermott said Tuesday. We don't have any other details right now, but don't expect to see Beasley in Sunday's finale vs. the Dolphins. Buffalo might opt to rest starters in that game anyway. We'll see if Beasley can make it back for the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs (foot) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report. He's ready to rock for Monday night's game vs. the Patriots.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs (foot) was listed as a full participant in Thursday's practice. It's more confirmation that he'll be ready for his usual role vs. the Patriots on Monday night. Keep him locked into fantasy lineups.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs (foot) will practice on Wednesday, HC Sean McDermott said. We won't get the team's 1st official practice report for Monday night's game vs. the Patriots until tomorrow, but Diggs seems to be on track to play in that one.

NFL Network's Kim Jones reports that the Bills don't believe WR Stefon Diggs' foot injury is serious or that it'll affect his availability going forward. Exhale. We'll keep an eye on Diggs when Buffalo returns to practice next week, but it sounds like he'll be ready for next Monday night's game against the Patriots.

Bills WR Stefon Diggs was knocked out of Saturday's game against the Broncos in the 4th quarter with a foot injury. We'll update his status as soon as we know more. Diggs had a huge game before exiting, catching 11 of 13 targets for 147 yards. If he misses time, it'd mean more targets for WRs Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis and John Brown, who seems set to return from his ankle injury next week.

Update: Per NFL Network's Kim Jones, Diggs was back on the sideline late in the game, "smiling and talking with teammates." That suggests that he avoided a serious injury.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida has been activated from the COVID list and is set to return for this weekend's game vs. the Patriots. Breida joins DeAndre Washington and Patrick Laird as Miami's healthy backs -- although the Fins haven't been interested in giving Breida a significant role all season.

The Bills have activated LB Matt Milano from IR (pectoral) and plan to play him against the 49ers tonight. Coaches haven't revealed details on his role, though. HC Sean McDermott pointed out early in the week that A.J. Klein has been the one playing while Milano has missed weeks. That sounds like a coach hesitant to return even a healthy Milano to full playing time. It's also worth noting that MLB Tremaine Edmunds has scored poorest among Bills LBs across the board in Pro Football Focus grading. Klein, meanwhile, holds a higher coverage grade than even Milano right now and rates among the team's best pass-rushers. If you've been planning to use Klein in your Week 13 IDP lineup, we'd stick with him. We'll see about the role tonight for Milano, who also played limited snaps the 2 games before landing on IR while trying to manage the injury.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida has been placed on the COVID list. He's out for at least this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. Miami will also likely be without RBs Salvon Ahmed and DeAndre Washington, who are both listed as doubtful. We'll see whether RB Myles Gaskin is activated from IR to return for this one. If not, Patrick Laird will be left as Miami's lead back.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He’s not a fantasy option vs. the Broncos on Sunday, but his return adds a bit of risk to RB Salvon Ahmed’s projected workload.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) put in a full practice on Wednesday. He's on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos. We're still expecting Salvon Ahmed to operate as Miami's lead back in that one, but Breida's return adds some risk to Ahmed's profile.

Bills S Micah Hyde (ankle) is active for today's game against the Cardinals. He's merely a low-level IDP option but available if you were waiting for him.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Chargers. RB Jordan Howard is a healthy scratch. That leaves the backfield to DeAndre Washington, Salvon Ahmed and Patrick Laird.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets that Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) "may be a week away from going." It sounds like we should expect him to miss today's game against the Chargers. That'd leave Miami's backfield to DeAndre Washington, Salvon Ahmed, Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird. It's still a situation to avoid in fantasy.

The Bills have placed CB Josh Norman on the COVID list after he tested positive. Buffalo has also placed TE Tyler Kroft, CB Levi Wallace and S Dean Marlowe on the list as close contacts. They won't travel for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. That removes a starting corner (Wallace) and the potential replacement for S Micah Hyde if Hyde turns up inactive. He's questionable after sustaining an ankle injury Thursday that kept him out of Friday's practice. So Buffalo could be facing Arizona down 2 of its top 3 outside CBs and starting a 3rd-stringer at safety.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. Miami’s backfield is a mess, with Breida, DeAndre Washington, Jordan Howard, Salvon Ahmed and Patrick Laird all potentially in the mix. Avoid the situation in Week 10 fantasy lineups if possible.

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. His status for this weekend's game vs. the Chargers remains uncertain. Miami deployed a 3-RB committee last week with Jordan Howard, Salvon Ahmed and Patrick Laird last week. They might get Breida back last week, while RB DeAndre Washington is eligible to make his Fins debut. It looks like a situation to avoid in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

Dolphins RBs Myles Gaskin (knee) and Matt Breida (hamstring) are out for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Miami traded for RB DeAndre Washington this week, but he’s not eligible to play in this one due to COVID rules. So it’ll be Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird and potentially Salvon Ahmed in the backfield. ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe expects Howard to get “early-down responsibilities” with Laird handling pass-catching work. Howard should also get goal-line opportunities. He’s the better non-PPR play, while Laird gets the nod in PPR. But they’re both just RB3s.

The Bills have ruled LB Matt Milano out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Sal Capaccio of WGR 550 reports. Milano played a limited role each of the past 2 weeks because of a pectoral injury that cost him the previous 2 games. This week's change at least keeps us from having to guess at how to treat Milano in IDP lineups. A.J. Klein has been the 2nd Bills LB in playing time when Milano has missed time (behind MLB Tremaine Edmunds).

Dolphins RB Matt Breida (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. He's now looking unlikely to play against the Cardinals this weekend. That'd leave Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird and Salvon Ahmed in Miami's backfield. (RB DeAndre Washington isn't eligible to play due to COVID rules after being traded to Miami on Tuesday.)
