The Jaguars added San Jose State TE Josh Oliver in the 3rd round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He led the Spartans with 56 catches this past season, racking up 709 yards and 4 TDs. But he ranked just 18th in this year’s TE class in yards per route run, according to Pro Football Focus. The 6’5, 249-pounder registered a 45th percentile SPARQ score at the Combine. A catch-first TE, Oliver boasts intriguing fantasy upside and could make an immediate impact amid a weak Jags TE group.

The Jaguars spent the 7th pick of the NFL Draft on DE Josh Allen. The former Kentucky star exploded for 17 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss in his senior season, after tallying 14 sacks and 19 tackles for loss over his previous 2 seasons. Allen should work into the edge rotation right away. Jacksonville has Yannick Ngakoue and Calais Campbell starting at DE currently, but Campbell often moves inside for passing situations. Most importantly for IDP owners, going to Jacksonville's 4-3 base scheme should start Allen with a DE designation. That helps his value for dynasty rookie drafts.

The Bengals have re-signed TE Tyler Eifert to a 1-year deal. We didn't hear of any other teams showing interest in the 28-year-old, who has missed 34 games over the past 3 seasons. Cincinnati gave TE C.J. Uzomah a 3-year, $18 million contract earlier this week, so we'll see how the team plans to divvy snaps between the 2. Eifert retains upside if he can ever stay on the field, but he's just a late-round flier in best-ball drafts right now.

The Jaguars have added WR Chris Conley. He's a size/speed freak at 6'2, 213 pounds with a 97th percentile SPARQ score. But Conley never earned a significant role in Kansas City, totaling 104 catches over the past 4 seasons. He joins a relatively unsettled WR corps in Jacksonville alongside Dede Westbrook, D.J. Chark, Marqise Lee and Keelan Cole. Conley will be worth monitoring this summer.

The Jaguars have named John DeFilippo their new OC. He was a hot name coming from Philadelphia around this time last year but made it just 13 games in Minnesota before getting the ax. DeFilippo's undoing was a pass-heavy approach that didn't mesh with HC Mike Zimmer's philosophy. That approach also makes DeFilippo an awkward fit with a Jaguars team that's built around its running game and defense.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle, foot) is inactive for today’s finale against the Texans. RB Carlos Hyde (knee) is active and will join T.J. Yeldon and David Williams in the backfield. It's a situation to try to avoid in fantasy lineups. Yeldon is the best bet if you’re desperate.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle, foot) is listed as doubtful for Week 17. He didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday and won’t play vs. Houston this weekend. RB Carlos Hyde (knee) is listed as questionable, so Jacksonville might be down to RBs T.J. Yeldon and David Williams. We’ll get the inactives by noon ET on Sunday, but this is a situation to try to avoid against the Texans’ elite run defense.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette sat out Thursday's practice with foot and ankle issues after putting in a limited workout Wednesday. He put in full workouts all last week while being listed with the foot and hadn't appeared on the injury report at all since Week 10 before that. Fournette's looking iffy for Sunday's game at Houston -- and at the very least will be a high-risk fantasy option, especially against 1 of the league's toughest run defenses. We'll see about his status after Friday's practice.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (foot) is not listed on the final injury report. HC Doug Marrone pointed to Fournette’s foot injury as a reason he saw just 1 carry in the 2nd half of last week’s game, but he was a full-go in practice all week. With an uncertain role heading into Week 16, Fournette is a risk/reward RB2 in a plus matchup against the Dolphins.

Jaguars K Josh Lambo (groin) is out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. Kai Forbath kicks again for Jacksonville but is a weak fantasy play.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (foot) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. So the foot injury he reportedly suffered last week shouldn't be an issue this weekend. The bigger concern is whether the Jags want to get another look at RB David Williams, who out-carried Fournette 4 to 1 in the 2nd half of last Sunday's game. Fournette gets a prime matchup vs. Miami but is more of an upside RB2 than a locked-in RB1.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette carried only 11 times in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, including just once in the 2nd half. He said afterward, “That was the game plan coming in." HC Doug Marrone said that the team wanted to get a look at 7th-round rookie RB David Williams, who finished with 5 carries for 32 yards. We'd commend the Jags for playing it safe with their stud RB in a lost season -- but they used Fournette on kick returns yesterday. No longer a lock for big volume, Fournette will be just a RB2 against the Dolphins in Week 16.

Jaguars K Josh Lambo (quad) is inactive for today’s game against the Redskins. Kai Forbath kicks in his place but is a weak fantasy play.

Jaguars K Josh Lambo (quad) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Redskins. Jacksonville signed K Kai Forbath as insurance. Avoid the situation in Week 15 fantasy lineups.

Jaguars S Tashaun Gipson (ankle) and CB Jalen Ramsey (knee) are active for today’s game against the Colts. Neither is a strong IDP option, but they’re available if you want them.

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) isn't listed on the final injury report after putting in a full week of practice. He'll return for Monday night's game against the Eagles. Thompson has averaged 5.2 carries and 6.8 targets across 5 appearances this season. He's a consideration in PPR leagues but comes with plenty of risk in his 1st action since October.

Washington HC Jay Gruden said Friday he's "very optimistic" RB Chris Thompson will play Monday night against the Eagles, according to ESPN's John Keim. The official game-status report will come out later this afternoon, but we'd expect something better than questionable for Thompson after he put in full practices Thursday and Friday. Thompson missed the past 4 games and 6 of the past 7 with rib injuries. He'll be a fringe option against a Philly D likely to miss MLB Jordan Hicks for the 2nd straight game.

Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (knee) and S Tashaun Gipson (ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. Each guy missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before putting in a limited Friday workout. We'll check their status Sunday morning.

Jaguars WR D.J. Chark (quad) is out for Sunday’s game against the Colts. Keelan Cole will again serve as the #3 WR but isn’t a fantasy option.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette's appeal of his 1-game suspension has been denied. He's out for Sunday's game against the Colts. After Fournette was booted from last week's game, Carlos Hyde carried 4 times, while T.J. Yeldon tallied 1 carry and 3 targets. Expect similar usage this weekend, with Hyde leading in carries and Yeldon playing in passing situations.
