Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) didn't practice on Wednesday. He only got in a limited practice on Friday last week -- then went out and posted an 8-106-2 line on the Packers. Jones should be fine for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) isn't listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but there was never much concern about his status. Jones remains a must-start for this weekend's game against the Packers.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) missed practice again on Thursday. HC Dan Quinn described Jones' foot as "sore" but didn't express much concern about his status for this weekend's game against the Packers. Jones, meanwhile, told reporters that he fully expects to play. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Dan Quinn made no mention of Jones' status in his pre-practice press conference. This is likely just a veteran's day off, but we'll update Jones' status again tomorrow.

Falcons MLB Deion Jones put in a full practice Friday and didn't even appear on the final injury report for the week. HC Dan Quinn has praised Jones' work in practice the past couple of weeks, and the team website reported Friday that Jones isn't expected to see his snaps limited. There's still some risk in Jones' 1st game back, but Atlanta brought him back patiently from the Week 1 foot injury. And there's more than enough upside to make Jones worth a shot in IDP lineups. We've added Jones to the top 12 of the Week 13 LB rankings.

The Falcons on Monday activated MLB Deion Jones from IR. He had been out since suffering a foot injury in Week 1 that required surgery. HC Dan Quinn told the Atlanta Journal Constitution he doesn't yet know if Jones will be ready to play Dallas this Sunday. “We’ll have the same format that we had last week,” Quinn said. “We’ll take it step by step and see where he’s at. It’s too early to make a prediction of where he could be. He’s eligible to be back this week, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready. We will put him out there when he’s 100 percent.” Until then, Foye Oluokun is the main guy in the middle. IDP owners should go ahead and add Jones now where available, though. He'll undoubtedly take the MLB job back over when he's ready and is a top-5 fantasy LB when healthy.

Falcons MLB Deion Jones returned to practice Wednesday after missing the past 8 games with a foot fracture. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Jones tested the foot off to the side last week, so Wednesday's participation sounds like an upgrade. If he continues to build on that, Jones would be eligible to return in Week 11. He's worth a pickup in many IDP leagues now on the mere chance.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn said Saturday that both WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) and WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) will play against the Giants on Monday night. Ridley practiced on Friday and Saturday and said he feels like his "normal self." Sanu only worked on Saturday. "I feel good, but it's a little [pain] management, too," he said of his bruised hip. "It's definitely going to get better. I mean, it's way better than it was.'' Consider both Sanu and Ridley risk/reward Week 7 fantasy plays.

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Friday, but WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) remained sidelined. Ridley now seems to have a better shot to play against the Giants on Monday night. We'll get another update on both guys tomorrow.

Falcons WRs Calvin Ridley (ankle) and Mohamed Sanu (hip) did not practice on Thursday. It's a surprise after HC Dan Quinn said this morning that he expected both guys to participate. We'll see if they can get on the field tomorrow, but Ridley and Sanu both look no better than 50/50 for Monday night's game vs. the Giants.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports that the Falcons are placing RB Devonta Freeman. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the veteran will have groin surgery and hopes to return this season. The 8-week timeline on being designated to return from IR wouldn't bring him back until at least Week 15, though. That puts both Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith into play as potential weekly fantasy starters the rest of the way. Coleman played 38 snaps to Smith's 31 against Tampa, but Smith beat him 11-10 in rushing attempts and matched Coleman's 2 targets. Coleman remains the slightly better bet for touches and the stronger bet for yardage production the rest of the way.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn said Monday that RB Devonta Freeman (foot) is "likely" out for next Monday night's game against the Giants. Atlanta has a Week 8 bye, which might play a part in the team's decision to hold him out. RBs Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith figure to again form a committee vs. the G-Men.

An MRI on Falcons WR Calvin Ridley's injured ankle revealed a bone bruise, according to ESPN's Vaughn McClure. We don't have a timetable for his return yet. Ridley has an extra day to heal up with Atlanta playing the Giants next Monday night. But the Falcons also have a Week 8 bye and could elect to sit Ridley on Monday and give him 2 full weeks to get healthy.

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley injured his ankle in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Bucs. He's officially questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one.

UPDATE: Ridley has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

The Falcons have ruled DT Grady Jarrett (ankle) out for the 2nd straight game. That hurts an already weak Atlanta run D. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they don't have an RB who has proved capable of exploiting the weakness yet.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (foot) is out for Sunday's game against the Bucs. The team doesn't expect this to be a long-term absence, but we'll monitor Freeman's status next week. It's worth noting that Atlanta has a Week 8 bye. Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith will handle backfield duties on Sunday. In the 3 full games Freeman has missed this season, Coleman averaged 15 carries and 3.3 targets and Smith 6 carries and 2.7 targets.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (foot) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play against the Bucs this weekend. We just removed Freeman from the Week 6 RB Rankings and bumped Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith up.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman missed Wednesday's practice with a foot injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that it's a bone contusion and that Freeman's availability for this weekend's game against the Bucs is "clearly in doubt." We'll keep an eye on the situation. Freeman's absence would again make Tevin Coleman Atlanta's lead back with Ito Smith in a change-of-pace role.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (knee) isn’t listed on the final Week 5 injury report. He put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. There’s still some risk with Freeman in his first action since the opener — and he gets a Steelers defense allowing just 3.5 yards per carry. But there’s also lots of TD upside in what should be a shootout.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn said in a Wednesday morning radio appearance that he expects RB Devonta Freeman (knee) to return for this weekend's game against the Steelers. Freeman returned to limited practices last week, and we'll watch his participation level over the next few days. If healthy, he figures to regain lead duties in Atlanta's backfield.
