Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) returned to a limited practice on Tuesday. HC Anthony Lynn and the media have been pessimistic about Gordon's chances of playing against the Chiefs on Thursday night. But Gordon himself said he expects to be a game-time decision. And the Tuesday practice at least gives him a shot to play. We'll continue to monitor his progress.

Chargers HC Anthony Lynn is "not optimistic" about RBs Melvin Gordon (knee) and Austin Ekeler (concussion, neck) being ready for Thursday night's game against the Chiefs, according to NFL.com's Steve Wyche. Their absences would leave the backfield to rookies Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome. Jackson has looked good over the past 3 weeks, averaging 6 yards per carry and catching all 3 of his targets for 42 yards. He'll be a good bet for 15+ touches on Thursday night, making him a RB2 with upside. Newsome has only 5 carries for 15 yards this season and figures to mix in for just a handful of touches behind Jackson.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. We’ll see if he can make it back for next Thursday’s showdown with the Chiefs. Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson will again handle backfield duties for L.A. this weekend.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that it was "possible" for Gordon to return for this weekend's game against the Bengals, but a Week 15 return vs. the Chiefs looks much more likely.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's "possible" Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) returns for Week 14. Gordon reportedly looked good working off to the side of practice this week. We'd still consider a Week 15 return for a Thursday night showdown against the Chiefs more likely, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on Gordon's progress.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) is out for Sunday night’s game against the Steelers. Austin Ekeler steps in as the lead back and should see around 20 total touches, making him a strong RB2 play. Justin Jackson will serve as the #2 RB, but we’re not expecting him to get more than a handful of touches.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday. Freeman has averaged 10.1 carries per game so far and might see less work than that against the Chargers this weekend with RB Phillip Lindsay playing well.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Seahawks. He was listed as questionable but put in a full practice on Friday. There’s some added risk here, but Gordon certainly belongs in season-long lineups.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) is inactive for today’s game against the Texans. That again leaves the backfield to Phillip Lindsay and Devontae Booker. With Freeman out last week, Lindsay carried 18 times and caught all 3 of his targets while Booker handled 9 carries and 4 targets.

Officially questionable for today's game against the Seahawks, Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) is expected to play, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Gordon missed the Week 7 win over the Titans in London but practiced all week coming out of the bye, including a full workout Friday. He's set for fantasy lineups in Week 9.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) is not expected to play against Houston today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Freeman is officially questionable, and HC Vance Joseph told the team website Friday that he's "getting better fast." But the team will reportedly let him rest the ankle through the Week 10 bye. Freeman's absence helps the touch outlooks for Phillip Lindsay and Devontae Booker, each of whom posted nice fantasy numbers (in a much better matchup) last week against the Chiefs.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) put in a full practice on Friday after being limited the previous 2 days. But he’s listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Seahawks. And HC Anthony Lynn stopped short of guaranteeing that Gordon will play. "We'll see,” Lynn said. “I don't want to speak for Melvin, but if he's feeling well I know he wants to play.” Chargers-Seahawks doesn’t kick off until 4:05 pm ET on Sunday, but we should get an update that morning.

Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) is not listed on the final injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. His return is excellent timing with the departure of WR Golden Tate and his 9.9 targets per game. Riddick should step back into to a sizable role in the passing game, making him a low-end PPR option. His return also puts a dent in RB Kerryon Johnson’s target projection.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Texans. He put in a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the first 2 workouts of the week. We’d bet against Freeman playing on Sunday. But if he does, it’d be a knock to RB Phillip Lindsay’s fantasy value.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) was listed as "did not practice" again on Thursday. Reporters saw him on the field for the start of the workout, but he didn't participate in team drills. Freeman continues to look unlikely to play against the Texans this weekend.

Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a shot to play against the Vikings this weekend. A healthy Riddick should soak up some of the 9.9 targets per game WR Golden Tate leaves behind.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He missed the London game 2 weeks ago and had the bye to rest. The fact that he still isn't a full-go is a bit concerning. But the Chargers might just be playing it safe with their workhorse. Check back tomorrow for another update.

Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Reportedly dealing with a high-ankle sprain, Freeman isn't a good bet to return for this weekend's game vs. Houston. With Freeman out last week, RB Philip Lindsay racked up a season-high 21 touches.

Broncos OLB Von Miller (ankle) and ILB Brandon Marshall (knee) are active for today's game against the Chiefs.

Broncos OLB Von Miller (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. HC Vance Joseph said Miller will be in the lineup, though, according to Pro Football Talk. If you're planning to use Miller, then he should be good to go. LB Brandon Marshall (knee) is also questionable. He has become a weak IDP contributor.
