The Bengals have ruled out OLB Vontaze Burfict for the 2nd straight week with a concussion. With Nick Vigil already on IR and Kevin Minter landing on IR this week, Cincinnati will be without all 3 starting LBs in Minnesota on Sunday. For IDP purposes, Jordan Evans and Vincent Rey are in play. The whole situation only enhances an already positive fantasy outlook for Vikings RB Latavius Murray. CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) will also miss his 2nd straight game. S Shawn Williams (hamstring) is questionable. He's not an IDP factor even if active.

Texans QB Tom Savage (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. QB T.J. Yates draws the start but isn’t a fantasy option in the nightmare matchup.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Vikings. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but it looks like he still has at least 1 stage of the protocol to pass through. We’ll look for another update on his status this afternoon — and we’ll find out his official status by noon ET on Sunday. RB Gio Bernard will again operate as Cincinnati's feature back if Mixon is out.

Bengals OLB Vontaze Burfict continued to miss practice Thursday and Friday with the concussion that kept him out of last week's loss to the Bears. At this point, we wouldn't bet on him clearing the league protocol in time to play the Vikings on Sunday. At the least, IDP owners need to make sure to have an insurance option available. The situation only further helps Minnesota RB Latavius Murray, who already faces a positive matchup and situation.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to play against the Vikings this weekend, but he still has multiple stages of the protocol to pass through. We'll get another update on Mixon tomorrow.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) remained sidelined on Wednesday. So he hasn't made much, if any, progress through the protocol. We'll see if he's able to get on the field tomorrow. Gio Bernard will again serve as Cincinnati's feature back this weekend if Mixon can't play -- albeit in a tougher matchup against the Vikings.

Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap left in the 4th quarter of Sunday's blowout loss to the Bears with a chest injury. The team deemed him questionable to return, though the lopsided score left little reason to push him back onto the field. We'll keep an eye out for any further details and his participation this week. The lack of further info to this point suggests it's not a big deal.

Texans QB Tom Savage was knocked out of Sunday's game against the 49ers with a 2nd-quarter concussion. He took a huge hit and was clearly woozy -- but Savage was allowed to play another series before eventually heading to the locker room for a concussion test. QB T.J. Yates will finish out this game for Houston.

Bengals DT Geno Atkins (toe), CB Darqueze Dennard (knee) and LB Vincent Rey (hamstring) are all active for today's game against the Bears after entering the weekend questionable. All look fine to use as you normally would in your IDP lineup. Dennard should be a better bet than usual for full-time snaps with CBs Dre Kirkpatrick and Adam Jones out. Rey should see starter-level playing time with LBs Nick Vigil (on IR) and Vontaze Burfict out.

Bengals DT Geno Atkins (toe), CB Darqueze Dennard (knee) and LB Vincent Rey (hamstring) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears. HC Marvin Lewis said Friday that he expects Atkins to play, and the star pass rusher will be worth a spot in IDP lineups for Week 14. Rey will be an upside tackle option with Nick Vigil on IR and Vontaze Burfict out with a concussion. Dennard's not worth the risk in an unexciting fantasy matchup.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against the Bears. He didn't practice all week and isn't a lock to be cleared for Week 15. Mixon's absence this weekend leaves Gio Bernard in something close to a feature role. The only other RB on the Bengals' roster is 5th-round rookie Brian Hill, who joined Cincinnati in mid-November and doesn't have an NFL carry to his name. The matchup isn't ideal against Chicago's 11th-ranked RB defense, but volume makes Bernard a strong RB2 play. He's handled 15+ touches in in 25 NFL games and averaged 14.8 PPR points in those outings.

The Bengals have placed LB Nick Vigil on IR with his ankle injury. They will also miss fellow starting LB Vontaze Burfict (concussion) for Sunday's game against the Bears, along with S Shawn Williams (hamstring), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) and CB Adam Jones (groin). According to's Geoff Hobson, HC Marvin Lewis expects DT Geno Atkins (toe) to play after missing some practice time this week. LBs Kevin Minter and Vincent Rey figure to see more snaps and enter IDP relevance, as long as the hamstring issue that limited Rey's participation this week doesn't keep him out.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) remain sidelined on Thursday. With multiple stages of the protocol to pass through still, he's a long shot to play against the Bears this weekend. That'd make Gio Bernard something close to a feature back. The only other RB on Cincinnati's roster is 5th-round rookie Brian Hill.

The Bengals have placed WR John Ross on IR. It ends a woefully disappointing rookie season for the 9th overall pick of this spring's draft. Ross appeared in 3 games, played 17 snaps and touched the ball once -- a 12-yard carry way back in Week 2 on which he lost a fumble. He caught 0 of 2 targets. Ross fell behind after offseason shoulder surgery, hurt his knee in late August and also dealt with an ankle injury during the middle of the season. Durability remains a major concern for a guy who entered the league with an extensive injury history.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. That's not a surprise considering he suffered the head injury just 2 days ago. Mixon probably needs to return to a limited practice tomorrow to have any shot of playing this weekend. Fantasy owners should proceed as if he won't play. That'd leave Gio Bernard in a feature role.

Bengals CB Dre Kirkpatrick suffered a concussion in Monday night's loss to the Steelers. The short week makes it tough to expect him to be available for Sunday's game against the Bears. That's a low-floor IDP matchup for the slot corner anyway, though.

Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict left Monday night's loss to the Steelers in the 2nd half with what the team deemed a head injury. Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster hit Burfict with a block that drew a flag and then stood over the LB to taunt him -- drawing a 2nd flag. The incident just might lead to further discipline for Smith-Schuster. Burfict likely came away with a concussion. He left the field on a board but reportedly got off before getting to the locker room.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon left in the 2nd quarter against the Steelers to be evaluated for head and shoulder injuries, according to ESPN's Lisa Salters. He's questionable to return. Gio Bernard took over backfield duties after Mixon left.

Update: The Bengals have ruled Mixon out for the game with a concussion. The shortened week won't help his chances of returning for Sunday's game against the Bears.

The Bengals will go without LB Nick Vigil (ankle), LB Vincent Rey (hamstring) and S Shawn Williams tonight against the Steelers. That could mean more snaps for LBs Jordan Evans and Carl Lawson, with Lawson the higher-upside option for his pass-rushing but Evans the safer tackle bet. FS George Iloka was the only Bengals safety to play at least half the snaps with Williams out last week.

Bengals CB Darqueze Dennard (knee) is active for today's game against the Browns. It's an upside spot for his IDP outlook against DeShone Kizer, though the knee adds risk. He only put in a limited workout Friday of this week.
