Shark Bites

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (ribs, knee) is not expected to play against the Cowboys today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. With Thompson sidelined last week, RB Adrian Peterson carried 17 times and saw 1 target. Expect similar usage today -- with perhaps more passing-game work if his shoulder is closer to 100%.

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib, knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. That one doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET, so we'll look for an update on Thompson on Sunday morning. He'll be a risk/reward RB3 in PPR leagues if active.

Jaguars TE James O’Shaughnessy (hip) is out for Sunday’s game against the Texans. With TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins on IR and TE Niles Paul also out, Jacksonville is down to TEs David Grinnage and Blake Bell. The Jaguars’ WRs should dominate targets this weekend.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Texans. We’ll see if he can return for Week 8, but Jacksonville might hold him out through the Week 9 bye. T.J. Yeldon gets another game as the Jags’ lead back and is a solid RB2 play, despite a matchup with a tough Houston run defense.

Jaguars TE James O'Shaughnessy (hip) did not practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. It looks like he suffered the injury in Wednesday's workout and is now in danger of missing this weekend's game. Check back tomorrow for another update. A healthy O'Shaughnessy would be a low-end spot-start option in a plus matchup against the Texans.

Redskins RB Chris Thompson (ribs, knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday. He was limited all last week before missing the Panthers game, so this doesn't tell us much. We'll get another update on Thompson tomorrow.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) won't practice on Wednesday. HC Doug Marrone said last week that Fournette had "a chance" to return for Sunday's game against the Texans -- but doing nothing on Wednesday has that looking unlikely. T.J. Yeldon figures to get another game as Jacksonville's lead back.

Browns HC Hue Jackson said Monday that MLB Joe Schobert will be "down for a little while" with the hamstring injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Chargers, according to the team website. James Burgess replaced Schobert in that game but then left with his own hamstring injury and could also miss further time. Jackson said he and his staff would have to discuss the replacement plan behind Schobert and Burgess. OLB Jamie Collins reached a 90% snap share for just the 3rd time in 6 games against the Chargers and becomes more of an IDP starting option with the injuries in the middle.

Browns MLB Joe Schobert left Sunday's game against the Chargers early with a hamstring injury and we'll not return. We'll see about his status heading into a Week 7 meeting with the Buccaneers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Washington RB Chris Thompson is expected to miss today's game against the Panthers. He's officially questionable because of rib and knee injuries. Washington also reportedly expects to be without WR Jamison Crowder (ankle). Factor in injuries for Paul Richardson and Josh Doctson, and the target ceiling for TE Jordan Reed -- in a positive matchup for TE scoring -- only rises higher. Adrian Peterson could see a bit more backfield receiving work with Thompson out. And Kapri Bibbs figures to be in the picture as well.

Jaguars HC Doug Marrone said Friday that RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) "has a chance" to return for Week 7. He ran off to the side of practice on Friday. We've been expecting Jacksonville to hold Fournette out through the Week 9 bye, but it sounds like the team is willing to bring him back sooner. We'll monitor his progress next week.

Jaguars HC Doug Marrone confirmed that RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) won't play against the Cowboys this weekend. It's the 2nd week in a row that Fournette has been ruled out on Wednesday, which is usually a sign that he's nowhere close to playing. T.J. Yeldon will again serve as Jacksonville's feature back this Sunday.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) won't play against the Cowboys this weekend, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This is more confirmation than new information. Fournette missed 2 games with the hammy injury the first time around and could be sidelined longer this time. It's possible the Jags hold him out through the Week 9 bye. With RB Corey Grant (Lisfranc) on IR, T.J. Yeldon will see feature-back usage in Week 6.

Jaguars HC Doug Marrone confirmed Wednesday that RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) won't play against the Chiefs this weekend. Fournette is likely looking at another multi-game absence after re-injuring his hamstring this past Sunday. T.J. Yeldon will operate as Jacksonville's lead back in a plus matchup in Kansas City, with Corey Grant as the change-of-pace.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette will likely miss "at least" 2 games with his hamstring injury. It's unclear if Schefter was reporting or taking an educated guess. Fournette missed 2 games with the bum hammy the first time around, and aggravations tend to cost guys even longer. Jags HC Doug Marrone said Monday that he's not yet sure how long Fournette will be sidelined. We'll continue to monitor the situation, but fantasy owners obviously need to prepare to again be without their stud RB. T.J. Yeldon will serve as Jacksonville's lead back for however long Fournette is out, with Corey Grant in a change-of-pace role.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert fractured his right ankle in Sunday's win over the Falcons, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Eifert is expected to have surgery and will miss the rest of the season. C.J. Uzomah already leads Cincinnati TEs in snaps. He and Tyler Kroft will both enter the fantasy radar going forward.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette was ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jets at halftime. We didn't see when he aggravated that bum hamstring, but the fact that Jacksonville was up 16-0 might have played a part in the decision to hold him out. We'll look for updates on his status.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert appeared to dislocate his right ankle in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Falcons. He's obviously done for the day -- and this could be a season-ender.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is officially active for today’s game against the Jets. He got in a full practice on Friday, so we’re expecting him to at least be close to full-go.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to play agains the Jets today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jacksonville has been cautious with Fournette all along -- and he put in a full practice on Friday. So we're expecting him to be very close to 100% today. Fournette is in RB1 territory in our Week 4 RB Rankings.
