Lions RB Kerryon Johnson will be placed on IR after undergoing a procedure on his injured knee, HC Matt Patricia announced on Tuesday. The team hopes to get Johnson back this season, but he's out until at least Week 16. So he can be dropped in redraft leagues. We'll see if Detroit adds anything to its backfield, but for now it'll be Ty Johnson as the lead back and J.D. McKissic as the change-of-pace. Johnson has a shot at RB2 value the rest of the way and is a priority add off waiver wires this week.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lions RB Kerryon Johnson is expected to miss "some time" with his knee injury. "For now, Johnson will be called week to week," Schefter adds. That's the only update we've gotten on Johnson today, so we're still somewhat in the dark here. We can at least say that Johnson will miss Sunday's game against the Giants. That'll leave Ty Johnson as Detroit's lead back and J.D. McKissic as the #2.
Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) did some running on Monday, but HC Jon Gruden admitted that he's still questionable for Week 8. We'll track Williams' progress through the rest of this week. If he's able to play on Sunday, he'll find a plus matchup against a banged-up Texans secondary.
Lions RB Kerryon Johnson suffered a knee injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Vikings and is questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one. Johnson's absence leaves Detroit with RBs Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic.
Lions CBs Darius Slay (hamstring) and Quandre Diggs (hamstring) are active for today's game against the Vikings. DL Da'Shawn Hand (elbow) is inactive.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport labels Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) a "game-time call" for today's tilt with the Raiders. That's a 1 pm ET kickoff, so we'll get Allison's status by noon. He'll be a risky WR3 if active.
Packers WR Geronimo Allison (concussion, chest) has been upgraded to questionable for Week 7. So it looks like he has a shot to play against the Raiders on Sunday. We'll get his official status by noon ET.
Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) is out for Sunday’s game against the Packers. He wasn’t able to practice all week coming off the bye. Oakland is down to WRs Hunter Renfrow, the recently acquired Zay Jones, Trevor Davis, Keelan Doss and Marcell Ateman. None is a recommended fantasy play. TE Darren Waller should lead Oakland in targets this weekend.
Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) didn't practice on Wednesday. It's a major concern considering Oakland is coming off a bye week. At this point, fantasy owners can't count on having Williams for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Packers WR Geronimo Allison left in the 3rd quarter of Monday night's game against the Lions after colliding helmet-to-helmet with Detroit S Tracy Walker. It'll be surprising if Allison doesn't enter the league concussion protocol off that play, but we'll see about the diagnosis.
Lions S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) and DE Da'Shawn Hand (elbow) are inactive for tonight's game against the Packers. CB Darius Slay (hamstring) and DT A'Shawn Robinson (knee) are active after hitting the weekend questionable.
Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (concussion) is active for tonight's game against the Packers. The rookie has totaled just 10 targets, 5 catches, 35 yards and 1 TD over his last 3 games.
Lions TE T.J. Hockenson cleared the concussion protocol Sunday and is expected to play against the Packers on Monday night, the Detroit Free Press reports. Hockenson suffered his concussion back in Week 4, before the bye. But he practiced in full this week and appeared on track to play. Congratulations if you waited for the rookie for Week 6.
Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (concussion) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Lions. He put in a full week of practice and is expected to be cleared by game time, according to Tim Twentyman of the team's official website. Hockenson has totaled just 10 targets in his last 3 games, so he shouldn’t be considered more than a low-end TE1.
Packers RB Jamaal Williams (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He'll return for Monday night's game against the Lions. Williams had basically worked himself into an even timeshare with Aaron Jones before the concussion. Then Jones busted out for 182 yards and 4 TDs with Williams out last week. We're guessing that earns Jones lead duties on Monday night -- but Williams' return still puts a dent in his Week 6 outlook.
Lions HC Matt Patricia said Friday that TE T.J. Hockenson is "trending towards playing" against the Packers on Monday night. The rookie has been "doing everything in practice," per Patricia, and just needs to gain final clearance. We should know Hockenson's status by Saturday afternoon.
Lions TE T.J. Hockenson (concussion) got in a limited practice on Thursday. So he's made some progress through the protocol but still has multiple stages to pass before being cleared for Monday night's game against the Packers. We'll get another update on the rookie's status tomorrow.
Packers RB Jamaal Williams (concussion) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. That puts him on track to return for Monday night's game against the Lions. Williams had basically worked himself into an even timeshare with Aaron Jones before the concussion. We're guessing Jones operates as the lead back on Monday night after his huge Week 5 -- but Williams' return certainly adds risk to Jones' outlook.
Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) is inactive for today’s game against the Bears. We’ll see if he can get back after Oakland’s Week 6 bye.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls Raiders WR Tyrell Williams (foot) a "long shot" to play against the Bears today. That's not a surprise after he didn't practice all week. We'll see if Williams is able to return after Oakland's Week 6 bye. TE Darren Waller figures to dominate targets today.
