Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. He was a full-go in practice all week, though, putting him on track to play. Conner might cede some passing-down work to Jaylen Samuels, but we’re expecting him to step back in as Pittsburgh’s lead back.
Colts TE Eric Ebron (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Titans. HC Frank Reich said Friday that Ebron just needs to meet with an independent neurologist to clear the final stage of the concussion protocol. We should get confirmation that he’s received full clearance by Sunday morning.
The Steelers have placed K Chris Boswell on IR with an undisclosed injury. Boswell struggled throughout the season, connecting on just 13 of 20 FG attempts and 43 of 48 XPs. He'll be a free agent this offseason. Pittsburgh signed K Matthew McCrane to replace Boswell. McCrane went just 5 of 9 on FGs with the Raiders earlier this season, so we'd lean against using him in Week 17 fantasy lineups.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That presumably puts him on track to return for this weekend's game against the Bengals. Conner might lose more work than he had been to Jaylen Samuels, but that matchup will make him a strong Week 17 fantasy play.
Colts TE Eric Ebron (concussion) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's already made some progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared for Sunday night's must-win game against the Titans. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) is active for today’s game against the Saints. He got hurt on Thursday and didn’t practice on Friday — but JuJu announced via Twitter on Saturday that he’d play in this one. Smith-Schuster comes with more risk than usual but still boasts WR1 upside.
Colts TE Eric Ebron sustained a concussion in Sunday's game against the Giants and will not return. He hauled in 3 of 5 targets for 28 yards before exiting. This is the 1st reported concussion of Ebron's career, which helps his chances of getting cleared for Week 17.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) says he'll play against the Saints tomorrow. He's officially listed as questionable after injuring his groin on Thursday and not practicing on Friday. "A lot on the line this week. The whole season comes down to this," JuJu tweeted. "Yes, I’m talking about the fantasy football championship round. Of course I’m playing Sunday!!! Theres no way I can let down the real ones who believed in me by drafting me!! Let’s get it!!" What a hero. Smith-Schuster comes with more risk than usual this week but still carries top 5 upside.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (groin) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Saints. After getting hurt on Thursday, he didn’t practice on Friday. G Ramon Foster did say that Smith-Schuster took part in Friday’s walkthrough, and WR Antonio Brown expects his teammate to play. We’ll look for an update on JuJu Sunday morning. Steelers-Saints doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET. If Smith-Schuster can’t play, James Washington is expected to step in as Pittsburgh’s #2 WR.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) remained sidelined all week and is out for Sunday’s game against the Saints. So Jaylen Samuels gets another game as lead back. It’s a tough draw against a stout Saints run defense, but Samuels can do damage in the passing game. He’s a RB2 with more value in PPR lineups.
Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster left Thursday's practice after injuring his groin, according to The Athletic's Mark Kaboly. Smith-Schuster didn't speak to reporters afterward, so that's the only info we have right now. We'll see if he's able to get back on the practice field tomorrow, but fantasy owners should make sure they have another option lined up. James Washington would likely move into the starting lineup if JuJu can't play against the Saints on Sunday.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's shaping up as a long shot to play against the Saints this weekend. Look for Jaylen Samuels to again serve as Pittsburgh's feature back in the Superdome.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He admitted to reporters afterward that he's still having trouble cutting and that his injured ankle "isn't ready yet." Conner now seems worse than 50/50 to play against the Saints this weekend. That'd again leave Jaylen Samuels as Pittsburgh's lead back. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Steelers RB James Conner (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Patriots. So the backfield is again left to Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley. Samuels played 80% of the snaps last week, tallying 11 carries and 7 targets. He’s a nice RB2 play.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Steelers RB James Conner is not expected to play against the Patriots tomorrow. Conner's officially questionable but has practiced just once (Friday) since suffering the initial injury. Conner's expected absence keeps RB Jaylen Samuels in starter territory. Stevan Ridley carried just 5 times last week at Oakland, with Conner out -- and shouldn't be on the fantasy radar.
Update: The Steelers have downgraded Conner to doubtful.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (rib) put in full practices on Thursday and Friday and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s a strong fantasy play in a likely shootout against the Patriots this weekend.
Steelers RB James Conner (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Patriots. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days. We’re still not expecting Conner to play vs. New England, but we’ll look for updates on his status Sunday morning. Steelers-Patriots doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. OC Randy Fichtner said that Conner could play without practicing, so he hasn't been ruled out. But he's still looking unlikely to play against the Patriots this weekend.
Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. There's been some talk that Conner could return for this weekend's game against the Patriots, but fantasy owners shouldn't be banking on it at this point. We'll update Conner's status again tomorrow.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (rib) said in a Tuesday radio appearance that he'll play against the Patriots this weekend. “I’m still pretty sore, but I am getting better everyday,” he said. “I will be on the field on Sunday and that’s all that matters.” Roethlisberger returned to last Sunday's game against the Raiders after a pain-killing shot kicked in. He's played well at less than 100% throughout his career and will be a strong Week 15 fantasy start.
