The Packers will be without their starting OLBs against the Vikings tonight. Nick Perry (ankle) entered the weekend doubtful. Clay Matthews (hamstring) was questionable but will also not play. That can only make the matchup comfier for Vikings QB Case Keenum.
Panthers WR Devin Funchess (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Bucs. He’s fully expected to play but isn’t at 100% after putting in just a limited practice on Friday. Funchess is a risk/reward WR2 vs. Tampa’s 32nd-ranked WR defense.
Panthers WR Devin Funchess (shoulder) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He's been battling that shoulder injury for a while now and aggravated it last week. We haven't heard that Funchess is in danger of missing this weekend's game against the Bucs, but check back tomorrow for another update.
Packers WR Davante Adams (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday night's game against the Vikings. Dealing with his 3rd concussion in the past 14 months, he's probably no better than 50/50 to be cleared for Week 16. Adams' absence this weekend means WR Jordy Nelson will likely see a lot of Minnesota Pro Bowl CB Xavier Rhodes. WRs Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison will be in better matchups, but neither is a trustworthy fantasy play with Brett Hundley under center.
Packers WR Davante Adams (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. Dealing with his 3rd concussion in 14 months, Adams is a long shot to get cleared in time for Saturday night's game against the Vikings. That'd leave Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison as Brett Hundley's top 3 WRs.
The Packers have placed QB Aaron Rodgers on IR, ending his season. HC Mike McCarthy said the QB was sore coming out of Sunday's return at Carolina, and then Atlanta's Monday night victory eliminated Green Bay from playoff contention. So Brett Hundley should start Saturday night against the Vikings and then at Detroit in Week 17. Hundley means an upgrade for both opponent defenses in fantasy.
Packers HC Mike McCarthy was non-commital on QB Aaron Rodgers' Week 16 status. "Rodgers is sore, and rightfully so," McCarthy said Monday. "He was hit too many times. Took two big hits. We're working through that and we'll see what tomorrow brings." Green Bay would be eliminated from the playoff picture if the Falcons beat the Bucs on Monday night -- and have no reason to play Rodgers against the Vikings on Saturday at less than 100%. We'll continue to monitor the situation.
Packers WR Davante Adams was knocked out in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game in Carolina with a concussion. He took a shot to the head from LB Thomas Davis after an Aaron Rodgers INT. It's the 2nd concussion for Adams this season and his 3rd in the past 14 months. We'll track his progress through the protocol this coming week.
Bears S Adrian Amos is inactive for today's game against the Lions. It'll mark his 3rd straight game down because of a hamstring injury.
Bears S Adrian Amos is questionable for Saturday's game against the Lions after missing the past 2 weeks with a hamstring injury. He managed limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. We'll keep an eye on further updates heading into the game. There would at least be some re-injury risk to Amos if active but also attractive tackle upside.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) announced on Tuesday night that he's been medically cleared. That presumably means he'll start this weekend's game against the Panthers. Rodgers has been practicing for a couple of weeks now and been impressing teammates and media members. The last time he returned from a broken collarbone -- albeit on his non-throwing side -- he went for 318 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs against the Bears in his 1st game back. He comes with a bit lower floor than usual this week, but Rodgers sits safely inside QB1 territory in our rankings. His return is also a big boost to WR Jordy Nelson.
Panthers WR Devin Funchess (shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Vikings. It doesn’t sound like the shoulder will be a major issue, but shadow coverage from CB Xavier Rhodes certainly is. Funchess is a low-end WR3 in this matchup.
Panthers WR Devin Funchess (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Vikings. He put in full practices on Wednesday and Thursday but was sidelined on Friday. ESPN's David Newton reports that Funchess was "held out as a precaution" and is "likely" to play. We'll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. But Funchess is a shaky Week 14 fantasy play at less than 100% in a matchup against Minnesota CB Xavier Rhodes.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers impressed both beat writers and teammates on Wednesday in his 1st official practice since breaking his collarbone. "He looks like himself," WR Jordy Nelson said. Rodgers still needs to get full medical clearance, but he continues to trend toward returning for next weekend's game against the Panthers.
As expected, Bears S Adrian Amos (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the 49ers. He entered the day doubtful after missing practice all week.
Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is active for today's game against the Bucs. He ended up missing just 2 games with that MCL injury. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that RB Jamaal Williams will get “most of the work,” but that could change based on how both RBs are performing. Williams remains the better fantasy bet but is more of a risk/reward RB2 now. Jones is just a flier in his 1st game back.
The Packers expect RB Aaron Jones to play against the Buccaneers today after he missed the past 2 games with a knee sprain, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Jamaal Williams, however, is "still expected to get most of the work." Jones has been the most explosive of Green Bay's RBs this year, though. We'd be surprised if he doesn't get a decent number of touches. Of course, it's tough to know just how healthy Jones is. We'd play Williams 1st among the 2. Beyond that, the values of both -- because of the unpredictable touch outlooks -- will be a bit of a crapshoot.
Bears S Adrian Amos is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Niners with a hamstring injury. Make other plans for your IDP lineup, if you haven't already. On the positive side, ILB Danny Trevathan finished the week not even listed on the injury report. He's ready to return after losing 3 games to a calf injury.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is expected to practice when he's 1st eligible on Saturday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This doesn't yet guarantee that Rodgers will play again this season, though. Rapoport notes that Green Bay will need to still be in the playoff race to bring Rodgers back, which would likely require wins the next 2 weeks vs. Tampa Bay and Cleveland. Rodgers' collarbone will also need to be healed enough to get the green light from what Rapoport calls the Packers' "notoriously conservative doctors." We'll continue to track Rodgers' progress. He's 1st eligible to play Week 15.
Panthers WR Devin Funchess (toe) isn’t listed on the final injury report after putting in full practices on Thursday and Friday. He’s safe to keep in Week 13 fantasy lineups. Funchess’ matchup will get a big boost if Saints CB Marshon Lattimore is unable to play. He's listed as questionable with his ankle injury.
