Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdomen) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Doug Pederson said. D-Jax will reportedly do some running off to the side, but his status for Sunday night's game against the Cowboys remains uncertain. We'll get another update tomorrow.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (back) is inactive for today's game against the Saints. It'll be his 3rd straight missed game since the Thursday night win over the Titans that followed Ramsey's trade request. Ramsey's absence can only help a matchup that was already positive for Teddy Bridgewater and Saints receivers.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. He put in limited practices all week. Team owner Shad Khan also reportedly said after a "heart-to-heart" with Ramsey this week that he believed the star corner would play. We'll see.
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (abdominal) is out again for Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Mack Hollins will continue to serve as Philly’s top 3 WRs.
Eagles insider Jeff McLane considers WR DeSean Jackson (groin) "unlikely" to return for Week 6 after listening to HC Doug Pederson on Monday. Pederson said that D-Jax is still rehabbing and answered "we'll see" when asked if he'll be ready for Sunday's game against the Vikings. We'll keep an eye on Jackson this week, but fantasy owners should plan on being without him again.
The Jaguars have ruled CB Jalen Ramsey out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Ramsey will miss his 2nd straight contest with a back injury that he says has been an issue throughout his career. "Jalen's been working extremely hard to get back with this low-back issue and it hasn't been getting any better," HC Doug Marrone said Friday, according to ESPN's Mike DiRocco. We'll see where this goes.
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (groin) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jets. He doesn’t seem particularly close to returning, but we’ll track his status next week. Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Mack Hollins will serve as Philly’s top 3 WRs vs. New York.
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (groin) did not practice and is still in the rehab process, HC Doug Pederson said. It doesn't sound like he'll play against the Jets this weekend. That'll again leave Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Mack Hollins as Philly's top 3 WRs.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey is inactive for today's game against the Broncos. He returned to the team following the birth of his 2nd daughter, but a back issue will keep Ramsey out of the game. That's good news for Denver's wideouts, if you're starting either of the top 2 this week.
Lions QB Matt Stafford (hip) is active for today’s game against the Chiefs. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Stafford will be playing through “a lot of hip pain.” That obviously adds risk to his profile, but we still like his upside in this matchup.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Lions QB Matt Stafford is expected to play against the Chiefs today, despite "a lot of hip pain." Schefter hears that the hip got worse throughout the week. “This is the closest he’s probably been to not playing, but he’s planning on going," a source told Schefter. Stafford is in a great spot at home in a likely shootout against the Chiefs, but the hip issue obviously adds plenty of risk to his profile.
Lions insider Kyle Meinke hears that the team would be "shocked" if QB Matt Stafford (hip) is unable to play against the Chiefs on Sunday. Meinke described the hip issue that limited Stafford on Friday a "tweak." It sounds like he's safe to keep in Week 4 fantasy lineups.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (lung) practiced all week and is set to return for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. That knocks TE Gerald Everett out of the spot-start discussion. Higbee actually out-targeted Everett 8 to 5 over the season’s first 2 games.
Lions QB Matt Stafford (hip) is listed as questionable for Week 4 after being added to the injury report and limited in Friday's practice. We'll look for updates on his status over the weekend. Stafford has started 131 straight games dating back to 2011 and was looking like a nice spot-start option at home for the Chiefs this week.
Rams DE Aaron Donald is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Browns with a back issue. He hurt it against the Saints last week but returned to that game. Donald then put in limited practices all week. Here's what HC Sean McVay said about his status Friday, though, according to Pro Football Talk: “He’s playing. It’s a ‘questionable’ because, really, we’re smart with him. He didn’t do some things, but unless something really unforeseen happens, this guy is going on Sunday night.” So keep Donald in your IDP lineups -- especially for a nice pass-rushing matchup.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee (chest) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Browns. He's played 43% of the offensive snaps so far vs. 55% for TE Gerald Everett. So Higbee's absence could turn Everett into something close to an every-down TE. He's on the deep-league spot-start radar for Week 3.
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (groin) has been ruled out for this weekend's game against the Lions. He's also expected to miss next Thursday night's clash with the Packers. HC Doug Pederson didn't rule out WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) or TE Dallas Goedert (calf) on Friday morning, but they still seem like long shots. We'll get another update this afternoon.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the timetable for Eagles WR DeSean Jackson returning from his groin injury “remains TBD” but that “my understanding is” Jackson won’t play against the Lions on Sunday. He adds that Jackson might not make it back for Week 4 either, because of Philly’s Thursday night kick against the Packers. Along with removing a high-ceiling fantasy WR, Jackson’s absence would ding the upside of QB Carson Wentz. We’ll, of course, watch to confirm Jackson’s status. But plan to not have him available. Nelson Agholor is a strong waiver target this week.
Update: ESPN’s Tim McManus reports it is an abdominal strain that will cost Jackson 2 weeks. Let’s hope Jackson isn’t headed for sports hernia surgery, which would likely extend his absence.
Eagles HC Doug Pederson labeled WR DeSean Jackson (groin) -- along with WR Alshon Jeffery (calf) and TE Dallas Goedert (calf) -- "day to day" in a Tuesday morning radio interview. "It's day to day with these guys and we're going to continue to rehab these guys this week and see where they're at," Pederson added. "I'm not going to commit right now to that (them playing in Week 3) because I want to make sure they put in a full week of practice before we make that determination." We'll keep a close eye on the Eagles' practice reports all week.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee suffered a lung injury in Sunday's win over the Saints that had him coughing up blood, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Higbee was briefly hospitalized but isn't expected to miss much time, per Rapoport. We'll keep an eye on him this week. Higbee's absence would make TE Gerald Everett a low-end spot-start option.
