Mark Walton Fantasy Football News 2019

The Dolphins have released RB Mark Walton after another off-field issue. “We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Mark Walton," GM Chris Grier said. "We hold our players to a high standard and take these matters very seriously." We'll see exactly what Walton did this time, but he might not be good enough to get another shot elsewhere with all his baggage. Miami seems committed to Kalen Ballage as their lead back, although it'd certainly make sense to starting giving RBs Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin more work.

Dolphins RB Mark Walton has been suspended 4 games for violating the league's conduct and substance abuse policy. He'll be eligible to return in Week 14 but can be dropped in fantasy leagues with short and medium-sized benches. Walton's absence leaves RB Kalen Ballage and his current 2.0 yards-per-carry average atop Miami's depth chart. He'll have volume on his side but is tough to like as anything more than a desperation RB3 or flex. Rookie Myles Gaskin figures to serve as the Dolphins' #2 RB.

Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake didn't travel with the team to Pittsburgh and will be a healthy scratch for Monday night's game against the Steelers. Miami is trying to protect Drake ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. We'll see where he lands. It'll be Mark Walton as Miami's lead back on Monday night and for the rest of the season.

Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage (foot) is active for today’s game against the Redskins. He played behind both Kenyan Drake and Mark Walton last time out, so Ballage isn’t a fantasy option.

Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage (foot) is questionable for this weekend's game against the Redskins. He was added to the injury report on Friday and limited in practice. Ballage played just 8 snaps in Miami's last game and was off the fantasy radar anyway. His absence would lock in Mark Walton as the #2 RB behind Kenyan Drake.

The Dolphins have signed RB Mark Walton. The 2018 4th-rounder was cut by the Bengals after his 3rd arrest of the offseason (carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession, battery). Walton is looking at a suspension from the league and is no lock to make Miami's roster. He figures to battle with rookie Myles Gaskin for a spot behind Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage.

The Bengals have released RB Mark Walton. Last year's 4th-round pick has been arrested 3 times since January and is likely facing a suspension from the league. He barely got on the field in Cincinnati as a rookie and averaged an ugly 2.4 yards per carry on 14 totes. His dynasty stock is already cratering.

Bengals RB Mark Walton has been arrested twice since the calendar flipped to 2019, first for marijuana possession in January and then for battery this past weekend. Either or both incidents could earn him a suspension. It's a rough start to the offseason for last year's 4th-round pick who averaged just 2.4 yards per carry on 14 attempts as a rookie. Walton will open the 2019 campaign no higher than 3rd on Cincinnati's depth chart, behind Joe Mixon and Gio Bernard.

Bengals RB Gio Bernard (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Bucs. He's been sidelined for 4 weeks now and doesn't look particularly close to a return. Joe Mixon will again serve as Cincinnati's feature back vs. Tampa, with Mark Walton picking up the scraps.

Bengals RB Gio Bernard (knee) is out for Sunday night’s game against the Chiefs. Joe Mixon will again be in a workhorse role, with Mark Walton as the #2 RB.

Bengals RB Gio Bernard is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained MCL, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. It's at least good timing for Cincinnati with RB Joe Mixon ready to return from his own knee issue. Rookie Mark Walton will serve as the #2 RB while Bernard is sidelined.

The Bengals added Miami RB Mark Walton in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Walton might have gone much higher had he been able to enter last year’s draft. He broke out for 1,117 yards and 14 TDs on a 5.3 yards-per-carry average in 2016, adding another 240 yards and a score on 27 catches. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry through 5 games this past season, but his campaign was cut short by a right ankle injury that required surgery. Walton then disappointed in the pre-draft process, registering a 15th percentile SPARQ score at 5’10 and 202 pounds. He joins a crowded Bengals backfield alongside Joe Mixon and Gio Bernard. Mixon is signed through 2020; Bernard 2019.
