The Dolphins have placed S Reshad Jones on IR. Jones returned from a 4-game absence for a cracked rib to play 67% of the snaps in Sunday's loss to the Bills. We haven't seen anything yet about a new injury for Jones, so perhaps the rib remained an issue and the team decided it would rather clear room for younger players the rest of the way. Miami also placed DB Bobby McCain (shoulder) on IR.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones (chest) is active for today's game against the Bills. He missed the past 4 games with a cracked rib but should be back in IDP lineups this week. Miami will not have DE Taco Charlton (elbow) or LB Raekwon McMillan (knee), who are inactive. Sam Eguavoen figures to see more playing time in McMillan's absence but is just a marginal IDP option.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills. He seems likely to play, though, after putting in full practices the past 2 days. Jones also finally revealed that it was a cracked rib keeping him out of the past 4 games. LB Raekwon McMillan (knee) and DE Taco Charlton (elbow) are also questionable. They put in limited practices all week. We'll check the status on all 3 Sunday morning.
The Dolphins have ruled S Reshad Jones (chest) out for Sunday's game against the Colts. It'll be the 4th straight missed game for Jones.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones (chest) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Jets. Jones missed the past 2 games with the injury. He did return to limited practices on Thursday and Friday and seems to be trending toward a Week 10 return.
Dolphins lead CB Xavien Howard is active for tonight's game against the Steelers. Howard missed the past 2 games with a knee injury but returns to likely see a lot of JuJu Smith-Schuster in coverage. Howard remained limited in practice all week.
The Dolphins have ruled S Reshad Jones (chest) out for the 2nd straight game. He has yet to return to practice since leaving the Week 6 contest early.
The Dolphins have ruled S Reshad Jones out for Sunday's game at Buffalo with a chest injury.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones missed practice Wednesday because of what the team called a chest injury. That might explain why Jones' playing time fell to 75% in Sunday's loss to Washington. We'll see about his participation and status the rest of the week, leading up to Sunday's game at Buffalo.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones (ankle) is active for today's game against Washington. He played through a "questionable" designation in Week 4 as well -- before the bye -- and played a full game. Jones should be in IDP lineups for Week 6. Miami's top CB, Xavien Howard, is inactive with a knee injury. That helps the outlook for lead Washington WR Terry McLaurin.
Dolphins S Reshad Jones is questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. He put in limited practices all week coming off the Week 5 bye. It's the exact same practice schedule he kept leading up to Week 4, though. Jones was questionable for that contest, and then he played all but 1 snap and led the team in tackles. As long as he's active, consider Jones usable in IDP leagues.
The Dolphins traded DB Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Steelers on Monday for a 2020 first-round pick, according to multiple reports. Fitzpatrick complained openly about the new Miami coaching staff playing him out of position at SS. He'll join a Pittsburgh secondary with a 2018 first-round pick, Terrell Edmunds, starting at that spot. We'll see exactly what the Steelers have planned for Fitzpatrick, who boasts uncommon versatility. Perhaps Fitzpatrick's departure will get veteran S Reshad Jones back to full playing time. Jones missed Week 2 with an ankle injury.
Dolphins S Bobby McCain (shoulder) and DE Charles Harris (wrist) are active for today's game against the Ravens after entering the day questionable. Neither is a strong IDP option.
Dolphins LB Raekwon McMillan returned to practice Monday after missing the entire preseason with an undisclosed injury. "Felt good. Back to 100 percent," he told the team website. HC Brian Flores also praised the 3rd-year LB. "Honestly, I've never seen a guy work so hard to get back," he said. McMillan said he doesn't know what his role will be, which points to newcomer Sam Eguavoen continuing to work ahead of McMillan. The former CFL player spent the preseason starting next to Jerome Baker and impressed. Baker hits the regular season as the top IDP option among Dolphins LBs. Eguavoen looks like the next. But you might want to wait and see this LB corps in action before using anyone beyond Baker.
Three incumbent defensive starters could be out of the plans for the 2019 Dolphins, according to The Miami Herald. S Reshad Jones and LB Kiko Alonso have reportedly been dangled in trade talks. Neither has played in a preseason game so far. Jones has reportedly said he'd accept the decreased defensive role that's expected to greet him this season. Alonso, meanwhile, has been mentioned by multiple reporters as a cut candidate if he isn't traded. MLB Raekwon McMillan is also rumored to be dropping out of the starting lineup. He also has yet to play in a preseason game. The team's official site still lists Alonso and McMillan as starters alongside Jerome Baker, but CFL import Sam Eguavoen has been starting alongside Baker in the exhibitions and reportedly working with the 1st team in practice as well. Baker and Eguavon have both reportedly impressed the new coaching staff. We've knocked Alonso and McMillan way down our LB rankings and moved Baker and Eguavon up. Jones also took a tumble down the DB rankings today. Alonso, McMillan and Jones all look like players worth skipping in IDP drafts this weekend. Bobby McCain and Minkah Fitzpatrick have been the top Miami safeties in preseason.
