Mike Wallace Fantasy Football News 2019

The Eagles have activated WR Mike Wallace from IR. Wallace has been out since Week 2 with a fibula fracture. He saw just 3 targets over the 1st 2 games, so it's tough to expect any impact from Wallace in Week 17. Philly would have no reason to activate him, though, without some plan for his use. Wallace's return adds a bit of a challenge to the target outlooks for Nelson Agholor and Golden Tate.

Eagles WR Mike Wallace fractured his fibula in Sunday's loss to the Bucs, HC Doug Pederson announced. Philly isn't placing Wallace on IR yet, but he figures to be out for a while. He's not worth stashing on fantasy rosters.

Eagles WR Mike Wallace was carted off the field in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Bucs with an ankle injury. He's done for the day. That leaves Philly with WRs Nelson Agholor, Shelton Gibson, Kamar Aiken and DeAndre Carter. Not ideal.

Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. He put in 3 limited practices this week, so perhaps he has a shot to return for Week 3. Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace will again serve as Philly’s top 2 WRs this weekend.

Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery told MMQB's Jenny Vrentas on Thursday night that he has "a couple more visits with the doctor" before he can get back on the field. Vrentas said Jeffery nodded when asked if he was still a few weeks away from playing. The team had reportedly hoped to get him back by Week 3, but that looks like a shaky expectation right now. Jeffery's absence should leave more targets available for WRs Mike Wallace and Nelson Agholor and could help TE Dallas Goedert build his early-season red-zone role. The rookie drew an end-zone target (incomplete) in Thursday's win over the Falcons.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is expected to miss "at least" the first 2 games of the season. Schefter adds that Jeffery won't land on the reserve/PUP list, which means the Eagles expect him back before Week 7. But it might be October before we can trust him in fantasy lineups. We just moved Jeffery further down the WR rankings. While he's sidelined, Nelson Agholor will serve as Philly's #1 WR with Mike Wallace as the #2. TE Zach Ertz and the RBs should also garner a few extra targets.

The Eagles signed WR Mike Wallace to a 1-year deal Thursday, according to NFL Network. Wallace is an upgrade over Torrey Smith on the outside, opposite Alshon Jeffery. He should compete with 2nd-year WR Mack Hollins for that role. The biggest fantasy question, though, is available target volume. Smith averaged just 4.2 per game last season, topping 5 targets just 3 times in the regular season. Wallace is no more than a late-round flier for current best-ball drafting.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (back) is active for today’s game against the Titans. That’s a plus matchup, but Wallace remains a shaky fantasy play. He’s topped 30 yards in just 2 of 7 games this season.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Titans. He practiced all week, including full workouts on Wednesday and Friday. Wallace should play on Sunday but is just a WR4 flier.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he'll play against the Titans this weekend. Despite that plus matchup, Wallace is tough to like in fantasy lineups. He's been held to 6 or fewer PPR points in 5 of 7 games this season.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (concussion) is inactive for tonight's game against the Dolphins. He was limited in practice this week and is seemingly on track to be cleared ahead of Week 9. WR Michael Campanaro (shoulder) is also inactive.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (concussion) is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Dolphins. It'd be a surprise if he was cleared 4 days after suffering the head injury, but Wallace was listed as a limited participant in all 3 practices this week. WR Breshad Perriman (concussion) is also listed as questionable but put in a full practice on Wednesday. WR Michael Campanaro (shoulder) didn't practice all week and is listed as doubtful. We'll find out the statuses of all 3 guys by 7 pm ET tomorrow.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace is getting checked for a concussion after taking a big hit in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Vikings. We'll see if he's able to pass his baseline tests and return.

Update: Wallace has been diagnosed with a concussion and is out for the game.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (back) is active for today’s game against the Vikings. He’ll serve as Baltimore’s #1 WR with Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) out, but Wallace remains a shaky fantasy play in a struggling passing game.

Ravens WR Mike Wallace (back) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Vikings. He put in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday. We’re expecting Wallace to play, but he’s not a good fantasy option.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh confirmed on Wednesday that QB Joe Flacco (back) is "ready to roll" for Week 1. He resumed throwing in late August and returned to practice this past weekend. Flacco isn't a recommended Week 1 fantasy play on the road against the Bengals. But his availability is good news for Baltimore's skill-position guys.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh revealed on Tuesday that QB Joe Flacco has resumed throwing. The team is still waiting for him to receive medical clearance to return to practice, though. It still looks like he's on track to be ready for the opener, but the Ravens passing game will be a risky Week 1 fantasy bet after what's been a lost August for Flacco.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco (back) remains sidelined. We're now 4 weeks into what the team originally called a 1-week injury. OC Marty Mornhinweg gave a rambling, useless response when asked on Wednesday about Flacco's timetable for return. We've still heard nothing to suggest that he won't be ready for the season opener, but such an extended absence with a back injury for a 32-year-old QB is a concern. Flacco isn't worth drafting outside of 2-QB leagues. And if he's not back on the field by the end of August, we'll have to start pushing WRs Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace down the WR rankings.

The Ravens have signed WR Jeremy Maclin to a 2-year deal. A cap casualty in Kansas City, Maclin joins a Ravens squad that's missing a whopping 345 targets from a year ago. He figures to compete with Mike Wallace for the target lead this year -- although Breshad Perriman could also have a say in that battle if he takes a step forward. Maclin endured a disappointing, injury-stricken 2016 campaign but posted an 87-1,088-8 line the previous year. He's still only 29. And he has experience in Ravens OC Marty Mornhinweg's system, playing for Mornhinweg in Philadelphia for his first 4 NFL seasons. Maclin averaged 65 catches, 863 yards and 6.5 TDs across those years.

Ravens WR Steve Smith (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Steelers. He put in a limited practice on Thursday and a full workout on Friday, so it looks like he'll return after missing the past 3 weeks. Smith averaged 9.3 targets, 6 catches and 70.3 yards in his 4 full games to open the season. His return puts a sizable dent in WR Mike Wallace's target projection.
