Tevin Coleman Fantasy Football News 2020

49ers RB Tevin Coleman (shoulder) isn't listed on the final Super Bowl injury report after putting in a full practice on Friday. Raheem Mostert figures to get the 1st crack at lead duties after his massive NFC Championship, but this has been a hot-hand backfield for most of the season.

49ers RB Tevin Coleman (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He was knocked out of the NFC Championship with a dislocated shoulder but seemingly has a shot to play in Sunday's Super Bowl. We'll update his status again tomorrow.

49ers RB Tevin Coleman was knocked out in the 1st quarter of Sunday' NFC Championship with a shoulder injury. We don't have any further details at this point, but HC Kyle Shanahan believes Coleman has a shot to be ready for the Super Bowl. "I’m hoping he’ll be all right next week," Shanny said. "I don’t totally know yet. I know he’s not ruled out or anything. I think there will be a good chance (for him to go)." We won't get any official practice updates from the 'Niners until next week. The backfield has been the ultimate hot-hand situation this postseason, with Coleman controlling in the Divisional Round and Raheem Mostert exploding for a 29-220-4 rushing line in the win over the Packers.

Update: Shanahan said Monday afternoon that Coleman dislocated his shoulder and reiterated that Coleman has a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

49ers RB Raheem Mostert said he battled calf cramps in Saturday's Divisional Round game after being sick during the week. That might explain Tevin Coleman operating as San Francisco's lead back in the win over the Vikings -- although it seemed like Coleman was a big part of the game plan right from the get-go. He'll be the best fantasy bet in this backfield in the NFC Championship.

49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll return to the backfield alongside Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert for Sunday’s game against the Saints. It’s anyone’s guess as to how touches will be divvied between those 3, leaving them all as risk/reward RB3 or flex plays.

49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) put in a full practice on Thursday. It's confirmation that he'll return for this weekend's showdown with the Saints. How the 'Niners will divvy carries between Breida, Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert is anyone's guess. It makes all 3 guys risk/reward RB3 plays.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he's "optimistic" about RB Matt Breida's chances of returning for this weekend's game against the Saints. Raheem Mostert took control of San Francisco's backfield in yesterday's loss to the Ravens, out-carrying Tevin Coleman 19 to 5. But with Breida back in this mix, this will be a tough situation to handicap for Week 14.

11:12am EST 12/1/19

49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) is inactive for today’s game against the Ravens. He’s expected back for Week 14. Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert will continue to operate as San Francisco’s top 2 backs today.

6:11pm EST 11/24/19

49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) is inactive for tonight’s game against the Packers. With Breida out last week, RB Tevin Coleman handled 12 carries and 4 targets to Raheem Mostert’s 6 carries and 3 targets. Expect a similar split tonight.

49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday night’s game against the Packers. Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert will again form the 1-2 punch in San Francisco’s backfield. Coleman is the better fantasy option because of his role near the goal line.

49ers RBs Matt Breida (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (knee) are listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Cardinals. Both guys got in limited practices on Wednesday. Tevin Coleman will lead this backfield vs. Arizona, but who plays behind him is completely up in the air right now. (Jeff Wilson is the other healthy RB besides Coleman.) We'll sort it out when we get inactives around 7 pm ET tomorrow night.

Niners RB Tevin Coleman is active for tonight's game against the Browns. It will mark his 1st game back since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the opener. With Coleman back, RB Jeff Wilson is inactive -- a healthy scratch. That leaves the backfield as Coleman, Raheem Mostert and Matt Breida.

Niners RB Tevin Coleman is questionable for Monday night’s game against the Browns. HC Kyle Shanahan is optimistic that Coleman’s ankle will allow him to play. The Monday night kick, of course, makes it tough to wait for Coleman in fantasy. The potential for Coleman to return does hurt the outlook for Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert.

49ers RB Tevin Coleman (ankle) put in a limited practice on Thursday. It gives him a shot to return for Monday night's game vs. the Browns after he went down with a high-ankle sprain back in Week 1. It's unclear how San Francisco will divvy carries between Coleman, Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson.

49ers RB Tevin Coleman has a high-ankle sprain and is considered "week-to-week," HC Kyle Shanahan said Monday. High-ankle sprains tend to be 4-6 weeks injuries, so don't bank on seeing Coleman until October. San Francisco has a Week 4 bye, so we'd consider Week 5 Coleman's earliest possible return date. His absence leaves Matt Breida as the 49ers' lead back -- and a weekly fantasy starter. Raheem Mostert moves up to #2 on the depth chart and is worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that 49ers RB Tevin Coleman is expected to miss time with the ankle injury he suffered in yesterday's win over the Bucs. Coleman is undergoing additional testing today to determine the severity of the injury, so we should learn more over the next 24 hours. His absence will leave Matt Breida atop the depth chart and Raheem Mostert as the #2 RB.
