Patrick Mahomes Fantasy Football News 2019

The forecast for today's Ravens-Chiefs game calls for a 70% chance of rain. There are flash flood warnings in the area, so it sounds like the rainfall could be heavy. The good news is that wind shouldn't be a major problem, with the forecast calling for 10-13 mph. We'll keep an eye on this as we get closer to 1 pm ET kickoff and adjust the Week 3 rankings as needed.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s safe to fire up for Sunday’s pristine matchup against the Raiders.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will practice on Wednesday, HC Andy Reid said. Mahomes hurt his ankle in the opener -- former NFL head team Dr. David Chao believes it's a high-ankle sprain -- but he's clearly on track to play against the Raiders this weekend. Even with his mobility potentially limited, Mahomes is an elite fantasy play.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, HC Andy Reid said afterward. Mahomes was able to play through it ... and played well. He torched Jacksonville for 378 yards and 3 scores on 25-of-33 passing. We'll keep an eye on Mahomes' practice participation this coming week, but he should be fine for next Sunday's game in Oakland.

Monday night's Chiefs-Rams game has been moved to Los Angeles. The game was originally scheduled for Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, but there were concerns about the field conditions there. Consider the move back to U.S. soil good news for both offenses -- especially the Rams playing at home.

The forecast for today's Jaguars-Chiefs game calls for periods of heavy rain. The good news is that winds are expected to be only 6-7 mph. They aren't ideal conditions, but it's not enough for us to adjust our projections for these passing games. You might use the weather as a tiebreaker if deciding between 2 similarly ranked players, though.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid announced Wednesday that QB Patrick Mahomes will start this weekend's finale against the Broncos. Kansas City is locked into the AFC's #4 seed and has nothing to gain on Sunday. We doubt that RB Kareem Hunt, WR Tyreek Hill or TE Travis Kelce play much, if at all. That makes Mahomes tougher to like -- especially in a tough spot in Denver.
