The Jets and WR Corey Davis agreed to a 3-year, $37.5 million deal with $27 million guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Davis had an up-and-down 4 seasons in Tennessee but is coming off a career-best 65-984-5 line. He ranked 5th in yards per route run among 84 WRs with 50+ targets. We'll credit OC Arthur Smith for some of that, but Davis has never lacked ability. It's why he was the 5th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. And he remains in his prime at just 26 years old. New York isn't an ideal landing spot, with new OC Mike LaFleur and the QB spot standing as question marks. But Davis has the potential to carve out a big target share. He figures to be joining Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims in the Jets' 3-WR set.
The forecast for tonight's Titans-Packers game calls for temperatures in the low 30s with snow and winds of 10-15 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph. Those are less-than-ideal conditions for the passing games, but we're still expecting plenty of points in this one. The game still has a big 53.5-point over/under. We'd stick with all the regulars from these teams in fantasy lineups.
Titans WR Adam Humphries (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against the Bears. He averaged 5.8 targets in 5 healthy games this season, so his absence opens up a meaningful amount of volume for A.J. Brown, Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith.
The forecast for today's Titans-Bengals game calls for winds of 20-30 mph. That's just past the threshold of when we start to worry about the passing and kicking games. We're lowering our projections for both passing games a tad and would avoid both kickers in this game. Note that the Bengals will be without all 5 of their starting offensive linemen from Week 1 today. Their implied total has sunk from 25.75 to 21.5.
The Titans have activated WR Corey Davis off the COVID list. That makes him available for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Davis has seen 8, 5 and 6 targets in his 3 games so far this season. He'll be in contention for at least WR4-level usage in fantasy lineups for Week 7.
Titans WR Adam Humphries was activated from the COVID list this week. WR Corey Davis has not been and isn’t expected to play vs. the Texans on Sunday. WR A.J. Brown and TE Jonnu Smith should continue to dominate targets for Tennessee.
The Titans have placed WR Corey Davis on the COVID reserve list. That wipes the WR out for at least this weekend's game against the Bills. Frankly, the way this week has gone for Tennessee casts the whole game in doubt. We'll keep an eye on Davis' return.
The Titans had 2 more players test positive for COVID on Wednesday morning, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports. The team was expected to return to its facility today, but that can't happen now. Sunday's Titans-Bills game is now in serious jeopardy. Fantasy owners need to be prepared to be without players from those teams in Week 5.
The NFL announced on Thursday morning that the Steelers-Titans game will not be played this week after a 5th Titans player tested positive for COVID. We're still waiting to hear when the game will be played, but Week 4 now acts as a bye week for Steelers and Titans players. Get them out of your starting lineups.
The NFL is postponing this week's Steelers-Titans game after multiple Tennessee players tested positive for COVID earlier this week, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, meanwhile, hears that the game will be rescheduled for either Monday or Tuesday. That'd keep all Pittsburgh and Tennessee players available to use in Week 4 fantasy lineups. We're keeping those guys in the Week 4 Rankings for now -- but it'd still be wise to line up alternatives in case the situation changes.
Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings. He didn’t practice all week, so his status for Week 4 and beyond remains uncertain. Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith and Adam Humphries will again serve as Tennessee’s top 3 passing-game targets this weekend.
Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. Dealing with a bone bruise in his knee, Brown might end up missing multiple games. His absence this weekend should mean more targets for WR Corey Davis and TE Jonnu Smith.
Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) returned to a limited practice Thursday. That's progress after he sat out Wednesday, but Davis put in full practices each of the final 2 days last week. We'll see about his Friday participation. The questions on Davis and A.J. Brown for this weekend chip away at QB Ryan Tannehill's fantasy outlook in what should be a decent matchup. The situation at WR, though, adds target-volume upside to TE Jonnu Smith and WR Adam Humphries.
Titans WR Corey Davis missed practice Wednesday with a hamstring issue. That's the same injury that limited him at the start of last practice week, but Davis finished with a pair of full workouts and then played against the Broncos (racking up a 7-101 receiving line). We'll keep an eye on Davis, but this seems like maintenance 2 days after a late game out west. WR A.J. Brown was a limited participant, listed with a knee issue. We'll watch him as well but aren't currently concerned.
Titans WR Corey Davis (toe) has been activated from the PUP list. He underwent offseason surgery on a big toe but is seemingly on track to be ready for Week 1. The #2 WR in a run-heavy offense, Davis is an unexciting fantasy pick.
Titans WR Corey Davis underwent offseason surgery on a big toe, according to insider Paul Kuharsky. That explains why Davis landed on the PUP list to open training camp. He never appeared on the injury report with a toe last season, so it's unclear exactly when he suffered the injury. Kuharsky hears that Davis "should be on course to be ready for the season." We'll keep an eye on him. Tennessee is woefully thin at outside WR behind Davis and A.J. Brown.
The Titans on Tuesday placed WR Corey Davis on the PUP list. There's no word yet on what injury has him inactive. It's not a great way to start a prove-it year for Davis, who watched Tennessee decline the 5th-year option on his rookie contract this offseason. We'll keep an eye on his situation.
