Bills CB Tre'Davious White left Friday night's preseason game in Detroit after injuring his right leg. A cart came to retrieve him, but White made his way off the field without it. He could later be seen icing the leg on the sideline. We'll see how serious the damage is for Buffalo's top corner.
The Bills spent the 9th overall pick in the NFL Draft on DT Ed Oliver. The former Houston DT could fight for a starting job next to Star Lotulelei or at least join a rotation right away. Oliver enjoyed a wildly productive college career, starting with 22 tackles for loss in his freshman season. He tallied another 16.5 and 14.5 tackles for loss the past 2 years. Oliver also tallied 11 career passes defensed and 192 total tackles. He'll be a high-upside selection for dynasty fantasy football leagues with DT slots.
Bills OLB Matt Milano had surgery Monday on the broken left fibula he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He'll miss the rest of the season. According to the Buffalo News, HC Sean McDermott said the team is still figuring out how to replace Milano and that it could use a "committee approach." This is a spot to ignore for IDP owners.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds cleared the concussion protocol Saturday and is expected to play today against the Jets. Barring some change, he should be in IDP lineups for Week 10
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds has yet to clear the concussion protocol and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. He put in limited practices Thursday and Friday. We'll see if he can gain clearance in time to play. If he doesn't, Julian Stanford showed last week that he's a viable fill-in with 8 tackles (7 solo), a sack and a forced fumble against the Bears.
The Bills have said MLB Tremaine Edmunds will return as a limited practice participant Wednesday. That indicates he has yet to gain full clearance from the concussion that cost him Week 9, but it also suggests Edmunds should be on track to return for Sunday's game against the Jets. We'll keep an eye out for that final clearance. An active Edmunds will belong in IDP lineups.
The Bills have downgraded MLB Tremaine Edmunds to out for Sunday's game against the Bears. Edmunds missed practice all week after suffering a concussion Monday night against the Patriots. We'll see if he can get cleared before a Week 10 visit to the Jets.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears with the concussion he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Patriots. That seems optimistic from the team, though. Edmunds missed the entire week of practice. We'll watch him through the weekend, but make sure you have another plan for your IDP lineup.
Bills S Micah Hyde is out for today's game against the Titans with a groin injury. He has endured a slow statistical start anyway and would only have been a low-level IDP option.
Bills S Micah Hyde is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans with a groin injury. He missed practice all week, though, and looks risky for the game. Keep him out of IDP lineups, especially after a slow statistical start to the season.
The Bills made their 2nd move up in the 1st round of the NFL Draft to take LB Tremaine Edmunds with the 16th pick. Edmunds will be just 20 when his rookie season begins, sporting elite speed and athleticism in a 6'5, 250-pound frame. He should slot in at MLB right away in a defense that let 2017 starter Preston Brown walk in free agency. That should mean quick IDP value even if Edmunds goes through some real-life growing pains.
Bills LB Matt Milano (hamstring) is out for today's game against the Jaguars. That should leave Ramon Humber returning to the OLB job he occupied to begin the season.
Bills LB Matt Milano missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a hamstring injury and isn't expected to practice Friday, according to Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News. "Sounds like it will be tough for him to play" against the Jaguars on Sunday, Skurski tweeted. Add that to the Bills entering the game as 8- to 8.5-point underdogs, and we've removed Milano from the bottom of our playoff IDP rankings.
Bills DT Kyle Williams (groin) is active for today's game against the Colts after entering the day questionable. He's an upside D-line option in IDP leagues in a nice matchup. Buffalo will also have top CB Tre'Davious White, who was able to clear the concussion protocol this week after last Sunday's vicious cheap shot from Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski. Slot CB Leonard Johnson (knee), however, is inactive.
Bills DE Jerry Hughes (shin, calf) is inactive for today's game against the Chargers.
Bills DE Jerry Hughes (shin, calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers. He returned to limited practices the past 2 days after sitting out Wednesday. He has been a poor IDP producer for weeks now, though, and isn't worth waiting on -- especially for a negative matchup.
Bills DE Jerry Hughes is "day to day" with a shin injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Saints, HC Sean McDermott told reporters Sunday. It doesn't sound serious, so Hughes might be ready to play against the Chargers this Sunday. But he hasn't given IDP owners much in a while, so there's little reason to wait for him and/or take on any added risk.
Bills OLB Ramon Humber (thumb) and S Jordan Poyer (knee) are active for tonight's game against the Jets. Poyer remains risky for IDP lineups. Humber's a better bet to make it through the game and to find tackle opportunities.
Bills LB Ramon Humber (thumb) and S Jordan Poyer (knee) are questionable for Thursday's game against the Jets. Poyer put in a full practice Wednesday and has said he expects to play after missing last week's game. Humber also put in a full practice Wednesday after being listed as a limited participant the previous 2 days. Humber will step back in ahead of LB Matt Milano if he's active against the Jets.
The Bills have ruled CB E.J. Gaines (hamstring) and OLB Ramon Humber (thumb) out for Sunday's game against the Raiders. S Jordan Poyer, however, remains "day to day" with his knee injury, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. Poyer missed practice Wednesday and Thursday and doesn't look likely to play, but we'll keep an eye on his status through the weekend. Gaines' absence helps Raiders WR Amari Cooper, while Poyer's situation raises the ceiling for the whole pass offense.
