The Patriots have claimed WRs Chad Hansen and Amara Darboh off waivers, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Hansen went to the Jets in Round 4 of the 2017 draft and enjoyed a buzzy spring this year but fell short of the final roster. Darboh arrived as a 3rd-round pick in Seattle in the same draft. He caught 115 passes over his final 2 seasons at Michigan, leading both team's in receptions. Each young player is worth a dynasty look in an exceedingly shallow Patriots WR corps. Don't go out of your way to take a redraft shot on either, though. Hansen is 11 months younger (23 until January; Darboh 24 until February).
The Jets added Cal WR Chad Hansen in the 4th round of the draft. Hansen began his college career at Idaho State and ended it by registering a massive 92-1,249-11 line for the Golden Bears last year. He won’t “wow” with athleticism (he posted a 60th percentile SPARQ score) but goes 6’2, 202 pounds with some of the best hands in this year’s WR class. Hansen joins fellow rookie ArDarius Stewart in New York’s WR corps, where there’s plenty of opportunity.
