The Chiefs and RB Damien Williams have agreed to a 2-year extension worth up to $8.1 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He's now signed with Kansas City through the 2020 campaign. Williams has stepped up for 263 yards and 3 scores over the past 2 weeks, averaging 6.6 yards per carry and 8.5 yards per catch. He should remain a big part of the offense the rest of this season, even with the return of RB Spencer Ware. We'll see what the Chiefs add to the backfield this offseason.
Dolphins RB Damien Williams (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. Kenyan Drake will remain in a feature-back role. He’s racked up 64 carries and 14 catches over the past 3 games.
