Rams RB Darrell Henderson (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s expected to be part of a 3-back committee alongside Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown in Sunday night’s opener vs. the Cowboys. Akers is the best fantasy bet — but consider him just a risk/reward RB3.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson (hamstring) put in a full practice on Wednesday. That puts him on track to play in Sunday night's opener against the Cowboys -- and makes RB Cam Akers a shakier fantasy bet. Try to avoid the situation if possible, although Akers is still our top-ranked Rams RB.

Rams HC Sean McVay expects RB Darrell Henderson (hamstring) to be ready for the season opener. Still, it's tough to imagine him playing a big role in that one considering he's expected to miss a bunch of practice time between now and then. Henderson is just a bench stash for fantasy squads.

Rams RB Darrell Henderson suffered a low-grade hamstring strain in Saturday night's scrimmage, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. "Not serious and shouldn't miss much time," Pelissero adds. "Optimism he'll be ready for Week 1." It's relatively good news, although Henderson will miss valuable practice time as he battles Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown for snaps. Consider Akers to favorite to open the season as Los Angeles' lead back.

ESPN's Lindsey Thiry calls it "a toss-up" whether Darrell Henderson or Cam Akers will lead the Rams backfield in touches this season. "Expect Henderson to earn more touches early in the season, given Akers could take extra time to acclimate because of the virtual offseason program," Thiry adds. That scenario certainly seems possible, but it's also just a guess at this point. The Rams' heavy draft investment in Akers this spring just a year after they selected Henderson (a round later) leaves us expecting Akers to lead the backfield. The uncertainty of the situation is worth keeping in mind as you consider both players in best-ball drafts this summer.
