The Eagles announced Saturday that they have agree to terms with RB Darren Sproles for 2018. Sproles missed the final 13 games last season after suffering a broken arm and torn ACL on the same play. He'll rejoin a backfield that now includes Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood and Donnell Pumphrey. The 2017 rookie, Pumphrey, looks like the worst bet to stick on the 2018 roster after a wholly disappointing debut. Smallwood's roster spot could be challenged as well, given that Philly also added RB Josh Adams as an undrafted free agent. Sproles' return also challenges the target availability for Clement. Overall, the Eagles backfield looks like a committee again, with Ajayi headed for primary ball-carrying duties, Sproles the best bet to lead the group in targets and the rest of the touches likely spread around liberally.

Eagles RB Darren Sproles will have surgery Monday to repair a right wrist fracture he suffered in Sunday's win over the Giants, Philly.com's Les Bowen reports. Sproles also suffered ligament damage in the wrist. After that, he'll also reportedly need a knee MRI. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Sproles suffered an ACL tear in the game. Fantasy owners should just assume today that the veteran back is done for the season. The situation makes touches available to LeGarrette Blount, Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement. Smallwood led the Eagles in rushing Sunday while tying Blount for the carry lead. Blount and Clement each scored rushing TDs.

Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Sproles tore his ACL. He's done for the season.

Eagles RB Darren Sproles is believed to have broken his arm in Sunday's game against the Giants, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He's undergoing an MRI on Monday to learn more. Sproles is obviously looking at a lengthy absence and could certainly miss the rest of the season. It'd be a big loss for the Eagles offense. There's no one else on the roster that can replace Sproles' skill set in the passing game.

Eagles RB Darren Sproles exited in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Giants. It looked like a knee injury, but the team is calling it a wrist. He's officially questionable to return.

Update: Sproles has been ruled out for the day.

Eagles RB Darren Sproles (concussion) is active for tonight's game against the Giants. He shouldn't have any limitations but hasn't topped 7 carries in any of his last 5 games. Sproles is only a RB3 or flex option in PPR leagues.
