Jaguars HC Doug Marrone said Monday that WR Dede Westbrook (sports hernia) is "ready" this week. That presumably means he'll be active for Sunday's game against the Browns. And the rookie could play a sizable role if WR Allen Hurns' ankle injury keeps him out. Westbrook remains just a fantasy flier for Week 11, but he's worth rostering in leagues of 12+ teams.
The Jaguars did not activate WR Dede Westbrook (sports hernia) from the IR for Sunday's game against the Bengals. The rookie returned to practice this week but evidently isn't ready for game action yet. We're expecting him to make his debut next week. Westbrook remains an intriguing stash in deeper fantasy leagues.
Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (sports hernia) is expected to be ready when he's eligible to come off IR in Week 9. "It's always encouraging to be able to get a player back that you feel can help you win," HC Doug Marrone said. "I do feel that way. Right now the reports that I have had is that he is on track, and we'll see." Westbrook underwent surgery on September 12 but has been running for the past couple of weeks now. He should quickly step in as Jacksonville's #3 WR and could even push Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns for snaps. Westbrook lit up the preseason, racking up 288 yards and 2 TDs on 13 catches.
Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook has been placed on IR. The rookie missed the 3rd preseason game with a core-muscle injury but returned for the 4th. It looks like he suffered a setback at some point since then. We'll see whether Jacksonville tabs Westbrook as their "designated-to-return" player, but he's not worth rostering in redraft leagues.
Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook (core) is out for Sunday’s opener against the Texans. The rookie sizzled this preseason but is still off the redraft radar for now. Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns will operate as Jacksonville’s top 3 WRs.
