Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin revealed in a radio appearance on Wednesday that he expects to have another surgery this offseason. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Baldwin is scheduled to visit Dr. William Meyers about a potential sports hernia surgery. That'd be in addition to the knee and shoulder surgeries he had earlier this offseason. Turning 31 in September, Baldwin's body might be starting to fail him. He'll be worth monitoring closely this summer.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll revealed from the Combine on Thursday that WR Doug Baldwin recently had surgeries on his knee and shoulder. Baldwin was banged up all last season, starting with a left knee issue when he arrived at training camp, then a sprained right MCL in Week 1 and finally a hip injury in Week 13. We don't have any details yet on the knee and shoulder procedures, but Carroll said Baldwin "should be fine" for the start of the 2019 campaign. If healthy, he'll be a solid bounce-back candidate.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the 49ers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. “Doug did really well,” HC Pete Carroll said after Friday's workout. “He practiced, made it through it today. He did fine. It looks like he’s playing.” At less than 100% and in Seattle's run-heavy offense, Baldwin is no better than a WR3.

Injury Predictor

In 2012, Baldwin sat out two games with separate injuries (ankle and shoulder). Those remain the only 2 games he has missed in his 7 NFL seasons. He's durable and consistent in his on-field production and could see his lead-target role grow with TE Jimmy Graham gone.
