Colts S Clayton Geathers (neck) and DE Jabaal Sheard (abdomen) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Geathers put in a full practice Wednesday before sitting out the next 2 days. He has followed odd practice schedules for weeks, whether active or inactive come Sunday. We'll have to check on his status Sunday afternoon (barring earlier word). If Geathers can't go, S Mike Mitchell will make for a solid IDP starting option in his place. Sheard's injury lacks clarity. He popped up on Thursday's report as "did not practice" but then returned to full participation Friday. We'll see about his status Sunday afternoon as well but would anticipate Sheard being in the lineup.
The Colts have ruled DT Margus Hunt (knee) and S Clayton Geathers (neck, concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Jets. Each put in 1 limited practice this week, so we'll see if either is ready to return for Week 7.
The Colts will start undrafted rookie Skai Moore at MLB, next to 2nd-round rookie OLB Darius Leonard, in Sunday's opener against the Bengals, according to Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star. Both rookies started throughout the preseason, while expected MLB starter Anthony Walker watched from the sideline with a hamstring injury. We'll see if Moore can hang on to the job once Walker returns, but we'd bet on the 2 sharing that spot. Leonard is the best bet for fantasy value among Colts LBs for the season, but both rookies look like solid IDP lineup options for Week 1.
The Colts have ruled S Clayton Geathers (concussion, neck) and OLB Robert Mathis (biceps) out for Monday night's game against the Jets. Geathers had practiced in full Wednesday but sat out Thursday. He was reportedly set to see a neurologist Friday afternoon in the final step of the concussion protocol but is clearly not ready to play between the 2 injuries. We'll see about his status next week. Mathis hasn't been an IDP option this season anyway, and the Colts hold little appeal as a fantasy team D.
