The Eagles on Tuesday reached a 2-year deal with former Bills CB Leodis McKelvin, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. McKelvin started off and on through 8 seasons in Buffalo, including 9 games in 2014 when new Philly DC Jim Schwartz was serving in that role for the Bills. We'll see if McKelvin can nail down a starting job in a changing Eagles secondary. He's an interesting IDP -- with return skills and the ability to allow completions (which lead to tackle opportunities -- when in the lineup.

The Bills on Saturday activated CB Leodis McKelvin, who has been out since last season's Miami trip because of a broken ankle. The initial injury put him on IR for 2014, and then an offseason setback wiped out his training camp, preseason and 1st half. Unfortunately for McKelvin, he returns to a secondary that might be set for at least the near future with Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby at corner.

The Bills placed CB Leodis McKelvin on the reserve/non-football injury list Saturday. That means McKelvin will miss at least the 1st 6 games of the season. He had follow-up surgery in July on the ankle he originally fractured in November. We'll see how McKelvin's prospects look in October, but he's not worth a roster spot in your IDP league in the meantime. Rookie Ronald Darby is expected to start in McKelvin's absence and should get targeted a lot after a shaky preseason and playing across from CB Stephon Gilmore.

ESPN.com's Mike Rodak previously reported that Bills CB Leodis McKelvin looked questionable for Week 1 after a July setback in his recovery from an ankle fracture. Late last week, Rodak projected McKelvin to begin the regular season on the reserve/non-football injury list. That would cost McKelvin at least the 1st 6 games. Even if he returned at that point, the veteran might find 2nd-round pick Ronald Darby -- or someone else -- entrenched at the starting spot opposite CB Stephon Gilmore. McKelvin's not draftable in your IDP league at this point.

Bills CB Leodis McKelvin might miss Week 1 thanks to a setback this summer in his recovery from last season's broken ankle, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports. McKelvin has spent training camp in a walking boot and getting around on a golf cart. "Well I know he’s going to be back at some point," HC Rex Ryan said Thursday. "I can’t tell you if he’s going to be back the first game or whenever, but it’s a significant injury." There's no reason to jump on McKelvin in your IDP league before he gets back onto the field -- unless you play in a particularly deep outfit where his play-making ability could make a difference. Second-round rookie Ronald Darby has been working in McKelvin's place with the starters and could be worth an IDP look -- across from Stephon Gilmore -- if he hangs on to that job.
