Redskins QB Mark Sanchez was benched in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Redskins. He finished 6 of 14 for 38 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs, leading Washington to 0 points. QB Josh Johnson has replaced Sanchez. The 'Skins are a mess.

The Bears have signed QB Mark Sanchez to a 1-year deal. The 30-year-old has settled in as an NFL backup, which is what he'll be in Chicago after the Bears handed QB Mike Glennon $18.5 million guaranteed. With Glennon, Sanchez, David Fales and Connor Shaw all under contract, it seems unlikely that Chicago will draft a QB with the 3rd overall pick next month.

NFL Network reports that the Broncos have released QB Mark Sanchez and that the Cowboys are already expected to sign him. Sanchez lost the Denver starting competition to Trevor Siemian after arriving from Philly via trade. In Dallas he'd back up QB Dak Prescott while Tony Romo's out with his back injury. Romo's return might leave Sanchez looking for work again in a couple of months.

Broncos QB Mark Sanchez is expected to start Thursday's preseason opener, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Sanchez will play the 1st quarter, Trevor Siemian the 2nd and Paxton Lynch the 3rd and 4th. Sanchez appears to have a slight edge in the race for the Week 1 starting job but isn't a lock to hold on to it. None of Denver's QBs are worth drafting in fantasy football right now.

Mark Sanchez is the favorite for the Broncos' starting QB job heading to training camp, at least according to DT Sylvester Williams. "Going into the camp, I think Coach Kub kind of let us know he’s going to go with Mark and give Mark the opportunity to see what he can do and then go on from there," Williams said on SiriusXM radio. Sanchez has always been the best bet to be under center come Week 1 considering his competition is raw rookie Paxton Lynch and former 7th-rounder Trevor Siemian. Sanchez will need to fall flat on his face to lose the job this summer. That, of course, isn't out of the realm of possibility.
