The Ravens will be without their top cover man when they face the Saints today. CB Marlon Humphrey (quad) is inactive. That can only be good news for New Orleans WRs Michael Thomas and Tre'Quan Smith, though the matchup remains tough.
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey is questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. He left Thursday's practice early with a quad injury that then kept him out Friday. HC John Harbaugh told The Baltimore Sun on Friday, "We'll just see how it goes at this point." Humphrey is Baltimore's best cover man and would hurt the coverage with his absence. We'll check on his status Sunday afternoon, ahead of the 4:05 ET kickoff.
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey was arrested Thursday in Alabama and charged with 3rd-degree robbery, according to AL.com. Under Alabama law, that's a felony charge indicating the use of force or the threat of force. TuscaloosaNews.com reports the charge stems from a Jan. 13 incident in which Humphrey allegedly stole a phone charger from an Uber driver, elbowing him in the process. The CB reportedly calls it a "misunderstanding." Humphrey enjoyed a solid finish to his rookie campaign after arriving as a 1st-round pick. We'll see whether this incident impacts his 2018 season.
The Ravens spent the 16th pick on Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey. There's room for Humphrey to quickly grab a large role and potentially start right away. There's nothing in his college stat line, however, to suggest that we should bet on big IDP production.
