Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) is active for today’s game against the Lions. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that Williams is expected to be limited to red-zone situations only. That’d make him just a TD-dependent flier in fantasy lineups.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) is "likely to be used Sunday in red-zone situations" against the Lions. He only got in a limited practice on Friday but "showed improvement later in the week," according to Schefter. We'd still try to avoid Williams in Week 2 fantasy lineups, but this news does give QB Philip Rivers' stock a slight boost.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Lions. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so it’s tough to believe he’ll be anywhere close to 100% if he suits up. We’ll find out if Williams will play by noon ET on Sunday, but we’d try not to use him in Week 2 fantasy lineups.

Update: HC Anthony Lynn labeled Williams a game-time decision. “I just need to see that he can go out and play, and not hurt himself,” Lynn said. “He has a couple more days, so we’ll go day by day.”

Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) missed practice again on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to be ready for this weekend's game against the Lions. That'd leave Travis Benjamin and Dontrelle Inman as Los Angeles' #2 and #3 WRs.

Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. We still don't have any details on the injury he sustained in last weekend's opener, but HC Anthony Lynn admitted that he's "absolutely" concerned about Williams' availability for Sunday's game against the Lions. His absence would leave Travis Benjamin and Dontrelle Inman behind Keenan Allen on the WR depth chart.

Injury Predictor

Williams suffered a mild disk herniation in rookie minicamp, costing him the entire offseason program. He should be fine for training camp but isn't likely to be a big factor early in the 2017 NFL season.
