Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills. We'll see if he can get cleared in time for Week 3. WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) is also out for Week 2, and WR Cody Latimer (calf) is questionable. That leaves Bennie Fowler and Russell Shepard as New York’s only 2 healthy WRs. TE Evan Engram and RB Saquon Barkley will dominate targets for the G-Men this weekend.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's not looking like a good bet to be cleared in time for this weekend's game against the Bills. WR Cody Latimer, meanwhile, was added to Thursday's injury report with a calf. He didn't practice. The Giants could be down to WRs Bennie Fowler and Russell Shepard.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard is in the protocol after sustaining a concussion in Sunday's opener against the Cowboys. It's his 4th documented concussion, making it less likely that he's cleared in time for this weekend's game against the Bills. We'll track Shepard's progress over the next few days.

Giants HC Pat Shurmur said Monday that WR Sterling Shepard "might" be in the concussion protocol. He either is or he isn't, Pat. We'll keep an eye on this one throughout the week, but a concussion would make Shepard iffy to be cleared for Sunday's game against the Bills. His absence would leave Cody Latimer and Bennie Fowler as New York's top 2 WRs. TE Evan Engram would easily be the best target bet.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (thumb) is "good to go" for Week 1, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Shepard broke his thumb on July 25 but has been running routes for most of August. QB play is a concern here, but Shepard should see a bunch of targets in New York's OBJ-less WR corps -- especially with Golden Tate suspended for the season's first 4 games. Consider Shepard a safe-if-unexciting WR3.

Injury Predictor

Shepard played every game his rookie season and with OBJ on the sideline and Marshall still learning the offense, Shepard is practicing with the "ones" team. Although he looks to be a third option in the regular season, he is building his chemistry and getting plenty of reps with Manning.
