The Broncos have released TE Owen Daniels, saving $4 million against the 2016 cap.  The 33-year-old posted a mediocre 46-517-3 line this past season -- the 4th straight year he's been under 11.6 yards per catch.  Daniels has never played outside of Broncos HC Gary Kubiak's offense and might decide to retire.  The move leaves Denver with Virgil Green and Jeff Heuerman atop the TE depth chart.

The Broncos believe TE Owen Daniels will make a "significant impact" in 2015, according to insider Jeff Legwold.  Daniels inked a 3-year, $12 million deal with Denver this offseason.  It'll be his 10th consecutive season playing under HC Gary Kubiak, so he's obviously familiar with the offense.  Daniels will turn 33 this coming November but still posted a decent 48-527-4 line last year.  He looks like the current favorite to operate as the Broncos' primary pass-catching TE in 2015, although Legwold does say that the team is looking for TE Virgil Green to do "more in the passing game."  We'll be keeping a close eye on Denver's TEs this summer because there's lots of fantasy production to be had.

TE Owen Daniels is following HC Gary Kubiak to Denver.  Daniels has spent his entire career with Kubiak, most recently posting a 48-524-4 line in Baltimore.  The 32-year-old is certainly past his prime, but his familiarity with the offense -- plus the Peyton Manning Boost -- could make him a lower-end TE1 in 2015.  Denver also re-signed TE Virgil Green, who will likely stay in a blocking role behind Daniels.

Ravens TE Owen Daniels (knee) is active for tonight’s matchup with Pittsburgh. Daniels had his knee scoped just 9 days ago, so it’s hard to see him playing at 100%. The 31-year-old is a poor fantasy option regardless.

Ravens TE Owen Daniels (knee) is questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Steelers. He put in a limited practice on Wednesday, sat out on Thursday and was listed as a full participant on Friday. Daniels will be a game-time decision but can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups. He’ll be just 9 days removed from a knee scope when Baltimore-Pittsburgh kicks off.
