Jaguars QB Nick Foles will undergo surgery on his broken left clavicle on Monday. “We don’t have a time span [for return]," Foles said. “We’re going to take it one day at a time ... I’m going to do everything I can to get back as quickly as I can to where I’m ready to roll.” Pro Football Talk speculates that Foles could be placed on IR-designated-to-return. That'd knock him out until at least Week 10. Rookie QB Gardner Minshew is set to take over as Jacksonville's starter. He played well against the Chiefs on Sunday but is still a downgrade for this entire Jags offense.

Jaguars QB Nick Foles has been diagnosed with a broken left clavicle, according to The Athletic's Phillip Heilman. That figures to knock Foles out until at least October. We should get a more concrete timeline over the next couple of days, but it'll be Gardner Minshew under center in Jacksonville for the foreseeable future. The 6th-round rookie played surprisingly well in relief of Foles vs. the Chiefs, completing 22 of 25 passes for 275 yards, 2 scores and 1 INT.

Jaguars QB Nick Foles appeared to injure his left arm after throwing a TD to WR D.J. Chark in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Chiefs. He headed back to the locker room with trainers. We'll update Foles' status when we learn more. Gardner Minshew is Jacksonville's backup QB.

Update: Foles is getting an x-ray on his left clavicle.

Update: Foles has been ruled out with what the Jags are calling a left shoulder injury.

The Jaguars have reached a 4-year deal with QB Nick Foles. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it's a 4-year, $88 million pact with $50.125 million guaranteed. That's obviously a pretty serious commitment. We'll see how long it takes Jacksonville to realize that the 30-year-old Foles isn't really an upgrade over Blake Bortles. Foles is a QB3 for common-sized fantasy football leagues, and he doesn't significantly enhance the outlook for Jacksonville's wideouts. Ian Rapoport reports that the Jags are expected to release Bortles once the Foles deal becomes official.

Eagles QB Nick Foles (ribs) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. The fact that he was out there at all early in the week is a good sign. He's fully expected to start Sunday's game against the Bears.
