Packers OLB Za'Darius Smith is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Eagles. He wasn't on the injury report to start the week but popped up with limited practices Tuesday and Wednesday. If Smith can't go, then we'd likely see more Rashan Gary and Kyler Fackrell -- though Fackrell's also questionable (shoulder).
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Packers are expected to sign OLB Za'Darius Smith when free agency opens Wednesday. Smith delivered a career-high 8.5 sacks in 2018 with the largest playing-time share of his career. He also tied for 14th in pass-rushing grade among all edge players on Pro Football Focus (though Smith graded much lower in run D). Smith's certain to grab a starting role with Green Bay, which has options for how to treat the other outside spot. Remaining a LB for fantasy purposes will limit Smith's IDP upside.
