What You Need to Know:
Draft Sharks Bottom Line:
Even with DeVonta Smith arriving, Ward remains in a good situation for opportunity. A shallow WR depth chart is topped by a rookie and a 2nd-year player (Jalen Reagor) who will reach September unproven in the pros. HC Nick Sirianni reportedly plans to move his WRs around, so we might see Ward outside a bit more than the 13.7% of his snaps he spent there last season. That’s not necessarily a good thing for a small-ish, slow-ish receiver. Ward will always be a volume-dependant fantasy performer. He figures to slot behind at least Dallas Goedert, Jalen Reagor and DeVonta Smith in targets this season -- with Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz (if he’s not traded) potentially ahead as well. Ward won’t be worth a look in most fantasy formats.
