The Eagles on Friday placed LB Nathan Gerry on IR with an ankle injury. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 games, with a Week 9 bye in the middle (and not counting as 1 of the missed weeks). That leaves more playing time available for LBs Alex Singleton and Duke Riley over the next few games. Singleton ranked 2nd among Eagles LBs in playing time at 67% last week, with Riley behind at 57%. Neither makes for a strong IDP option, but Dallas brings an upside scoring matchup this week. So both Singleton and Riley are in play for fantasy lineups.
Gerry misses practice
Eagles LB Nathan Gerry sat out Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury. That came as a bit of a surprise after Gerry played all but 5 snaps in last Thursday's win over the Giants. Missing practice after the long layoff seems to make it particularly noteworthy. We'll keep an eye on how his week progresses.
