Titans K Stephen Gostkowski has been placed on the COVID list. If he tested positive, he'll miss Sunday's game vs. the Texans. If he was merely a close contact, he'll be eligible to play in that one if he continues to test negative.

The forecast for today's Titans-Bengals game calls for winds of 20-30 mph. That's just past the threshold of when we start to worry about the passing and kicking games. We're lowering our projections for both passing games a tad and would avoid both kickers in this game. Note that the Bengals will be without all 5 of their starting offensive linemen from Week 1 today. Their implied total has sunk from 25.75 to 21.5.

The Titans have released K Greg Joseph and signed K Stephen Gostkowski. The former Patriot missed 12 games with a hip injury last season but is evidently healthy now. He's connected on 87.4% of his FG tries across 14 NFL seasons. Gostkowski figures to be a matchup-based fantasy starter throughout this season.

The Patriots have released K Stephen Gostkowski, saving $3.5 million against the 2020 cap. The 36-year-old Gostkowski missed 12 games last season with a hip injury. He leaves New England as the team's all-time leading scorer. A healthy Gostkowski should land a starting job elsewhere. We'll see who the Patriots bring in to kick.
