The Patriots on Thursday placed WR Aaron Dobson on IR with the ankle injury he suffered in the Week 11 win over the Bills. That leaves Brandon LaFell and Chris Harper as the only healthy WRs on the roster. We'll see whether Danny Amendola will be available Sunday against the Broncos.

Patriots WR Aaron Dobson is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, according to the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe.  Dobson won't play against the Broncos on Sunday night and figures to miss multiple weeks.  He's not worth holding onto in fantasy football.

Patriots WR Aaron Dobson (ankle) is not expected to play against the Broncos on Sunday night, according to insider Tom Curran.  Dobson's status beyond that is uncertain.  X-rays on the ankle came back negative, but the severity of the sprain will determine how long he's out.  Brandon LaFell, Chris Harper and Matt Slater are the only healthy WRs on the Patriots roster right now.

ESPN's Mike Reiss lists WR Aaron Dobson as 1 of 6 Patriots who have "built some positive momentum" early in training camp. Dobson has been getting 1st-team reps as WR Brandon LaFell (foot) continues to sit. "I don't think it's a stretch to say this is as good as he's looked since joining the club," Reiss adds. This comes just a few days after HC Bill Belichick praised Dobson for reporting to camp in "great" shape. The former 2nd-round pick is officially on our late-round flier radar.

Patriots HC Bill Belichick said WR Aaron Dobson reported to camp in "great" shape and "put himself in a great position."  Belichick rarely singles players out like this.  And his comments are especially intriguing because WR Brandon LaFell has been sidelined by a foot injury for most of the offseason.  Foot and hip injuries limited Dobson to 3 catches in 4 appearances last year.  But he just turned 24, was a 2nd-round pick and goes 6'3, 205 pounds with above-average athleticism.  Dobson is still only draftable in deep fantasy leagues for now, but stick him on your watch list.
