Dolphins DE Mario Williams is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He has apparently progressed beyond the concussion that knocked him out of the opener in Seattle. He's OK to use in IDP leagues as you normally would.

Dolphins DE Mario Williams suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss at Seattle and will need to pass through the league protocol before returning. We'll keep an eye on his status this week leading up to a Sunday trip to New England. Williams contributed 2 total tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) and a sack in his Miami debut.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that former Bills DE Mario Williams has agreed to a 2-year deal with the Dolphins. The 31-year-old is coming off a 5-sack season, the worst total since his rookie year for any campaign in which Williams played more than 5 games. (And Williams played through a plantar fascia injury in that rookie season.) He spoke out about not fitting well in HC Rex Ryan's scheme in 2015, however, and Williams' career-high 14.5 sacks in 2014 makes it easier to believe he can still produce. Miami might start Williams at left DE after Cameron Wake suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in late October. Left DE Olivier Vernon also heads into free agency with just the transition tag, and thus could move on.

As expected, the Bills on Tuesday released DE Mario Williams. The veteran was set to count $19.9 million against the 2016 cap in the penultimate year of a $100 million contract. That's especially rich money when you're coming off a 5-sack season. Williams voiced concerns with how he fit in HC Rex Ryan's scheme during last season and seems unlikely to return to Buffalo on a new deal. He could still deliver pass-rushing value in a different system, though, and figures to find interest on the open market. We'll see how the Bills choose to replace Williams and whether the Ryan brothers will adjust the defense to better leverage 1 of the league's best D-line groups.

Bills DE Mario Williams (illness) is active today against Washington. He's having a rough year, though, and faces a tough sack matchup. He's not a good IDP option for Week 15.
