Mark Barron Injury Updates

Steelers ILB Mark Barron left Sunday's game early with a hamstring injury. We'll see about his availability for the Week 6 visit to the Chargers. Barron's absence helped Vince Williams stay on the field long enough to collect a team-high 9 tackles, a sack and a pass breakup. Williams would likely start in Barron's place if te latter can't go next Sunday night.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Rams LB Mark Barron is expected to start today against the Seahawks. Barron missed the 1st 4 games while dealing with an Achilles' injury. Rams DC Wade Phillips said early in the week that he expects to watch Barron through the game to determine how many snaps he can handle. IDP owners would probably be best off waiting to use Barron in lineups.

Rams ILB Mark Barron missed practice Thursday and said he's "not certain" whether he'll be ready to play Monday night, according to Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register. Barron is listed with an ankle injury, but Hammond tweeted that Barron's "still coming back from injuries." He participated little in training-camp practices and sat out the preseason. We saw Barron put in limited practice work all last year, too, but he would play full time on Sundays. We'll see where this situation goes, but you're best off going in another direction for your Week 1 IDP lineup. Corps mate Corey Littleton gets an upside boost if Barron sits out. Ramik Wilson would likely start in Barron's place after filling in during the preseason.

Rams LB Mark Barron was a surprise inactive in Week 16. It won't be surprising when he sits this week. The team has deemed him doubtful for Sunday's clash with the 49ers because of an Achilles' tendon injury. We were already betting on Barron getting rest in a game with little meaning for the Rams. The team has also said that DE Aaron Donald will sit out.

Rams LB Mark Barron is a surprise inactive for today's game against the Titans. Barron has been dealing with a knee injury since the offseason but practiced in full this week and entered the weekend with no injury designation. We haven't seen any further info about what's keeping him out this week, but make sure to replace him in any IDP lineups.

Rams ILB Mark Barron left Sunday's win over the Seahawks after just 3 snaps because of a knee injury. HC Sean McVay said Monday, however, that Barron was just battling "a little knee soreness" that "bothered him a little bit more than it had" because of the colder weather in Seattle. McVay said they think Barron will be ready to play against the Titans, but we'll have to watch his participation this week. Barron could carry elevated risk with the current forecast calling for a high of 40 degrees in Nashville on Sunday.

Rams LB Mark Barron is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals in London. He missed Wednesday and Thursday practices with a thumb injury before returning for a limited Friday workout. Barron followed the same practice schedule last week with a knee issue and then played 100% of the snaps against Jacksonville. Bet on him being available for your IDP lineups in Week 7 as well.

The Rams have released MLB James Laurinaitis and DE Chris Long. Laurinaitis spent the past 7 years starting every game for St. Louis but isn't a special talent at this point -- at least not enough to be worth the $5.25 million in space his ouster cleared under the salary cap. Long will turn 31 in March and started just 11 games over the past 2 seasons because of injuries. He also totaled only 4 sacks over that stretch. The Rams' top 2 backups at DE -- William Hayes and Eugene Sims -- will hit free agency in March, so we'll see what the team does at that position. According to ESPN's Nick Wagoner, St. Louis plans to move OLB Alec Ogletree to the middle and try to re-sign S/LB Mark Barron to continue playing the weak-side LB spot that he took over when Ogletree got hurt last season.

Rams OLB/S Mark Barron left Sunday's game at Seattle after suffering a concussion. He'll need to pass through the league protocol to be able to play next Sunday at San Francisco. The Rams have also hoped to get OLB Alec Ogletree back from injury for the finale. It'll be a situation to watch this week for IDP owners.

Bucs S Mark Barron is inactive for the 2nd straight week because of a hamstring injury.  S Keith Tandy figures to start again in his place and carries IDP upside against a high-powered Saints pass offense.
Bucs S Mark Barron is questionable for Sunday's finale at New Orleans after missing Week 16 with a hamstring injury.  Barron put in limited practices all week, though, indicating he should be available.  We'll keep an eye on his status when the inactives come out Sunday morning.
Bucs S Dashon Goldson is inactive for today's visit to Seattle with a knee injury.  Fellow S Mark Barron (hip) is active, however.  He still faces a tough matchup for his fantasy outlook and carries lagging numbers into the game.  You should have a better IDP option.
Bucs S Mark Barron is questionable for Sunday's matchup with Seattle.  He was limited in practice all week with a hip injury that had him "probable" heading into Week 8.  We'll be watching the reports through the weekend -- up until the Sunday inactives -- but we expect Barron to play.
