Wide Receiver Rankings

Team Rank Name ADP Seasons Played DS Analysis
1 Ja'Marr Chase, WR CIN N/A 0 The 5th overall pick, Chase arrives in Cincy to play with his former college QB. He opted out of the 2020 season but dropped a massive 84-1,780-20 line with Burrow as a sophomore. Pro-ready and ultra-physical, Chase will play his rookie year at 21 years old.
2 Justin Jefferson, WR MIN N/A 1 Jefferson just posted the most receiving yards ever by a rookie WR. Only 22, and with an aging WR2 opposite him, the LSU product is in an excellent spot for volume long-term.
3 A.J. Brown, WR TEN N/A 2 Brown’s short-term target upside takes a hit with the acquisition of Julio Jones, who’s signed through 2023. But Brown’s an established stud, a dominant post-catch player with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons to open his career. The 24-year-old is currently under contract for 2 more seasons.
4 CeeDee Lamb, WR DAL N/A 1 Despite some rocky QB play, Lamb tallied 74-935-5 as a rookie. After playing almost exclusively in the slot, OC Kellen Moore talked this offseason about moving Lamb all over the formation. He’ll play this season at just 22 years old, and it’s comforting to know that Dak Prescott is locked up long-term.
5 Tyreek Hill, WR KC N/A 5 Hill, 27, just posted career-highs in targets per game, catches per game and TDs. He’s signed for just 2 more seasons, but we don’t expect the Chiefs to let him get away.
6 D.K. Metcalf, WR SEA N/A 2 Metcalf exited college with durability concerns, but he’s appeared in all 32 games through 2 pro seasons. While there are no guarantees about Russell Wilson’s long-term future in Seattle, Metcalf’s well established as a big-bodied playmaker. He sits 8th in yards among WRs over the past 2 seasons.
7 Stefon Diggs, WR BUF N/A 6 Diggs ranked as the WR3 in year 1 with Josh Allen. At 27, Diggs is signed through the 2023 season. We fully expect the Bills to retain both players long-term.
8 Davante Adams, WR GB N/A 7 A free agent in 2022, Adams reportedly broke off long-term extension talks in July. Of course, sticking with Aaron Rodgers beyond 2021 will be key to retaining a massive ceiling. Adams is coming off a career-best 115-1,374-18 line and has hit double digit TDs in 4 of the past 5 seasons.
9 Jaylen Waddle, WR MIA N/A 0 The Dolphins made Waddle, 23 in November, the 6th overall pick, reuniting him with college QB Tua Tagovailoa. We loved his speed and acceleration on tape, and he’s poised for a major year 1 role. We’ll see if Tua can take a year 2 leap.
10 Tee Higgins, WR CIN N/A 1 Higgins’ long-term target ceiling takes a hit with the arrival of Ja'Marr Chase. Still, it’s tough to ding Higgins too much considering his rookie year production (mostly alongside Joe Burrow): 67 catches, 908 yards, 6 TDs. The Clemson product turns just 23 in January.
11 Cooper Kupp, WR LAR N/A 4 Kupp, 28, signed a contract extension prior to last season, tying him to the Rams through the 2023 season. He has also shown an immediate rapport with new QB Matt Stafford. Kupp should have a few elite seasons left.
12 D.J. Moore, WR CAR N/A 3 Moore’s gradually developed through 3 seasons, but we’ve yet to see a true fantasy breakout. While he’s posted 1,100+ yards in consecutive seasons, he hasn’t topped 4 TDs in a single campaign. The 24-year-old is under contract for 2 more seasons.
13 Chris Godwin, WR TB N/A 4 Godwin, 25, will play the 2021 season on the franchise tag. His future — and Tom Brady’s future — adds an elements of unknown to the long-term picture. Godwin’s looking to rebound from the step back he took in 2020 (65-840-7).
14 Diontae Johnson, WR PIT N/A 2 Only 25, Johnson’s coming off an 88-catch 2nd season. He caught flak for his drops, but they’re not a long-term concern. He’s signed for 2 more seasons, while teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster re-upped on a 1-year deal this spring. We’ll see about Pittsburgh’s QB plans beyond Ben Roethlisberger.
15 Deebo Samuel, WR SF N/A 2 Durability remains the big question here. But Samuel has looked like the focal point of the passing game. Deebo should also see a boost if QB Trey Lance can develop.
16 Terry McLaurin, WR WAS N/A 2 McLaurin ranked as the PPR WR29 as a rookie before finishing as the WR20 last fall. Established as a dynamic playmaker, the 26-year-old (in September) only lacks a long-term answer at QB.
17 Calvin Ridley, WR ATL N/A 3 Ridley saw 143 targets last year, propelling him to a WR5 finish. Losing Julio Jones pops the top off Ridley’s 2021 target upside. Longer term, we’ll see what Atlanta does at QB, but we’re big believers in HC Arthur Smith’s offense. Ridley, who entered the league on the older side, turns 27 in December.
18 DeVonta Smith, WR PHI N/A 0 Smith profiles as an eventual #1 alpha for Philly. Questions persist about his skinny frame, but we don’t see it as a serious issue. We’ll see if Jalen Hurts — or DeShaun Watson, perhaps — become the team’s long-term QB. Either way, Smith is an electric talent worth betting on.
19 Mike Evans, WR TB N/A 7 Evans saw a career-low 109 targets last year, but he still posted his 7th straight 1,000-yard season. Signed through the 2023 season, Evans’ questions center around the future of Tom Brady and Chris Godwin, who’s playing under the franchise tag.
20 DeAndre Hopkins, WR ARI N/A 8 Hopkins’ 1st season in Arizona turned up massive volume — 160 targets, leading to 115-1,407-6. While his target competition increased for 2021, Hopkins showed no signs of decline last year. He turned 29 in June and is signed through the 2024 season.
21 Amari Cooper, WR DAL N/A 6 Cooper’s reached 1,000 yards in 5 of 6 NFL seasons. He hasn’t missed a game due to injury since 2018. Signed through 2024, we’ll see if Cooper, 27, can hold off CeeDee Lamb for Dallas’ WR1 role.
22 Michael Pittman, WR IND N/A 1 A significant calf injury interrupted Pittman's rookie season. But he flashed a bit over the 2nd half, especially with a 5-catch, 90-yard outing in the playoff loss to the Bills. The 34th overall pick of the 2020 draft has a shot to emerge as the Colts' #1 WR this season.
23 Keenan Allen, WR LAC N/A 8 Allen dealt with back and hamstring injuries last year, leading to his first absences since 2016. Still, he ranked as the PPR WR6 in PPG. Tied to Justin Herbert, Allen, 29, is under contract through the 2024 season.
24 Marquise Brown, WR BAL N/A 2 Brown appeared in all 16 games in 2020 but largely underwhelmed outside of the TD department (58-769-8). Getting better play from Lamar Jackson will be key. Baltimore also added serious target competition in Round 1 pick Rashod Bateman.
25 Elijah Moore, WR NYJ N/A 0 Moore goes just 5’10, 178 pounds, but he plays bigger. He's coming off a massive junior season at Ole Miss (86-1,193-8) and might also bring some added juice in the rushing game. While he tore up the Jets offseason program, we don’t expect a year 1 breakout. Moore doesn’t turn 22 until March.
26 Michael Thomas, WR NO N/A 5 Thomas’ troublesome ankle will bear watching. We also don’t have a large sample of the 27-year-old without Drew Brees. Thomas is signed through the 2024 season.
27 Rashod Bateman, WR BAL N/A 0 Bateman checks all the boxes we're looking for in a college prospect. And he got 1st-round draft capital. The problem is that he landed with a Ravens team that will be run-heavy for as long as QB Lamar Jackson is around.
28 Brandon Aiyuk, WR SF N/A 1 Aiyuk’s dynamic ability from college immediately translated to Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Taking advantage of injuries around him, the 23-year-old busted off 60-748-5 (plus 2 rushing scores). We buy Trey Lance as the 49ers’ long-term answer at QB, but we’ll see about true WR1 target volume for Aiyuk.
29 Jerry Jeudy, WR DEN N/A 1 Jeudy’s ability isn’t in question — his separation skills are on par with some of the league’s best WRs. But Denver’s long-term solution at QB is — along with the future of contract-year WR Courtland Sutton. Looking through an optimistic lens, though, Jeudy stayed healthy for his rookie season, busted off 16.5 YPC and doesn’t turn 23 until April.
30 Mike Williams, WR LAC N/A 4 A former Round 1 pick, Williams’ career has largely been underwhelming....Until now. Big Mike has been the #1 target for Breakout QB Justin Herbert. Williams, 27 in October, is slated for free agency in the spring and should command a massive pay day. Hopefully he stays with the Chargers.
31 Kadarius Toney, WR NYG N/A 0 Toney didn’t emerge at Florida until his senior year, when he tallied 70-984-10. While in need of polish, his tape turned up impressive vision and burst. His raw profile means we should keep year 1 expectations in check. New York, meanwhile, needs to figure out if Daniel Jones is the long-term answer.
32 Chase Claypool, WR PIT N/A 1 Claypool flashed excellent downfield ability as a rookie. At just 23, he should remain a high-ceiling player for a long time. However, as with Diontae Johnson, Claypool’s long-term QB is a mystery.
33 Tyler Lockett, WR SEA N/A 6 Lockett set career highs last year in targets (132) and catches (100). He’s played hurt in recent years but hasn’t missed a game since 2016. The 29-year-old is under contract through the 2025 season. Fingers crossed that Russ Wilson sticks around long-term.
34 Courtland Sutton, WR DEN N/A 3 From all indications, Sutton’s return from a torn ACL has gone smoothly. QB concerns hold him back, though, while Sutton also enters a contract season. The 4th-year pro turns 26 in October.
35 Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR DET N/A 0 St. Brown profiles as a big slot with trusty hands and strong body control. Targets are certainly up for grabs in the Lions' talent-thin WR corps.
36 Brandin Cooks, WR HOU N/A 7 Cooks topped 1,000 yards last year for the 5th time in the last 6 seasons. The QB situation has become a major concern in Houston. But Cooks is a bet on talent. He turns just 28 in September.
37 Allen Robinson, WR CHI N/A 7 Robinson might finally get his QB upgrade with the arrival of Justin Fields. But when will he take over the starting gig? And will A-Rob even return to Chicago in 2022? The 28-year-old will play under the franchise tag this fall.
38 Odell Beckham Jr., WR LAR N/A 7 OBJ lasted only 7 games in 2020 before suffering an ACL tear. Beckham continues to struggle with injuries in 2021 and he may be broken. He’ll turn 29 in November.
39 Darnell Mooney, WR CHI N/A 1 Mooney was a bright spot for the Bears last fall, posting 61-631-4 as a Round 5 rookie. The 5’10, 180-pounder will continue as a clear-cut #2 WR behind Allen Robinson, who’s likely to depart next offseason. Chicago’s ability to land Justin Fields in the ’21 draft bodes well for Mooney’s deep ball (and overall) upside.
40 Gabriel Davis, WR BUF N/A 1 Davis’ 2021 outlook took a hit with the arrival of Emmanuel Sanders. But we can’t overlook his 35-599-7 line as a 4th round rookie. Clearly, the environment in Buffalo is ripe for fantasy production. And pass volume should continue to be favorable going forward. Davis could eventually develop into Buffalo’s long-term WR2.
41 Michael Gallup, WR DAL N/A 3 A healthy Dak could have Gallup back in the WR2 mix this fall. Long-term, though, Gallup's value is less clear. The 25-year-old will likely depart in free agency next spring.
42 Robert Woods, WR LAR N/A 8 Woods has been ultra-consistent, hitting 86+ catches in 3 straight seasons. He’s missed just 1 game over that stretch. He turns 30 in April, but you have to like the Rams’ move to get Matthew Stafford. Woods is slated for free agency in 2026.
43 JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR PIT N/A 4 JuJu hasn't quite lived up to the expectations set by his incredible first 2 seasons. But he still finished 16th among WRs in PPR points and 23rd in non-PPR last year. Plus, he turns just 25 in November. Smith-Schuster will hit free agency again next offseason after inking a 1-year deal with the Steelers in March.
44 Christian Kirk, WR ARI N/A 3 With 48-621-6, 2020 was another uneven year for Kirk. He again battled injury, this time missing 2 games. The Cardinals have likely seen enough after 3 seasons — and offseason additions A.J. Green and Round 2 pick Rondale Moore prove it. 2021 is a contract year for Kirk, 25 in November.
45 Tyler Boyd, WR CIN N/A 5 Boyd’s long-term potential took a hit with the arrival of Ja’Marr Chase. Still, Boyd’s tied to Joe Burrow through at least 2023. And that’s plenty valuable. Turning 27 in November, Boyd has caught 75+ balls in 3 straight seasons.
46 Corey Davis, WR NYJ N/A 4 The Jets signed Davis to a 3-year, $37 million deal in the spring. He projects as the team’s target leader in the short-term, but there’s no doubt Zach Wilson has a wide range of outcomes. Davis turns 27 in January.
47 Hunter Renfrow, WR LVR N/A 2
48 Will Fuller, WR MIA N/A 5 There’s no denying Fuller’s talent, but there are risks here. His injury history is worrisome — at least pre-2020 — while he’s coming off a PED suspension. We’ll also see how he adjusts to life without Deshaun Watson. Miami inked the dynamic 27-year-old to just a 1-year deal in March.
49 Terrace Marshall, WR CAR N/A 0 Marshall has an elite combination of size (6'3, 205 lbs.) and athleticism (97th percentile Relative Athletic Score) and produced well at LSU. He should immediately be Carolina's #3 WR and will have a chance to move into a top-2 role if Robby Anderson departs in free agency next offseason.
50 Kenny Golladay, WR NYG N/A 4 Golladay signed a 4-year, $72 million free-agent deal with the Giants. He’s looking to rebound from an injury-ruined 2020 that produced only 5 games played. Golladay’s on the older side for a 5th-year pro; he turns 28 in November.
51 D.J. Chark, WR JAC N/A 3 Chark struggled along with the rest of Jacksonville's passing game last season. But the 25-year-old, former 2nd-round pick is just a year removed from a 1,008-yard season. And he got a huge QB upgrade in rookie Trevor Lawrence.
52 Jakobi Meyers, WR NE N/A 2
53 Adam Thielen, WR MIN N/A 7 Thielen is no longer the top dog in Minnesota (hello, Justin Jefferson). But he remained effective last season and should still see nice volume this year in a concentrated Vikings passing game. The 31-year-old is a nice piece for win-now dynasty teams.
54 Rondale Moore, WR ARI N/A 0 Moore turned in 1 of the most impressive freshman seasons you'll ever see and got 2nd-round draft capital with an ascending Cardinals offense. His downfield ability is limited and he has durability questions to answer. But there's exciting upside with this 21-year-old.
55 Van Jefferson, WR LAR N/A 1
56 Jarvis Landry, WR CLE N/A 7 The ceiling here might not be exciting. But Landry has finished as a top 40 fantasy WR in 6 straight seasons. He'll be 29 in November.
57 Curtis Samuel, WR WAS N/A 4 Samuel signed a 3-year, $34.5 million deal in March, reuniting him with former Panthers (interim) OC Scott Turner. The electric playmaker is fresh off a season with career highs in catches (77), yards (851) and carries (41). Entering his 5th season, Samuel’s only 25 years old.
58 Nico Collins, WR HOU N/A 0 Collins got nice draft capital, going in the 3rd round as the WR14. And he landed in Houston, where he’ll be competing for outside snaps with Brandin Cooks and a bunch of nobodies. It’s possible that he finishes 2nd on the team in targets this season. The QB situation, of course, is the concern.
59 DeVante Parker, WR MIA N/A 6 Parker never really gelled with Tua Tagovailoa in 2020. Then came the offseason and the arrivals of Will Fuller and Jaylen Waddle. We’d be surprised if Parker, 28, made it to the end of his current contract, which runs through the 2023 season.
60 Josh Palmer, WR LAC N/A 0 The Chargers somewhat surprisingly made Palmer the 11th WR off the board when they nabbed him in the middle of the 3rd round. He never stuffed the stat sheet at Tennessee but showed strong contested-catch skills on tape and tested well at 6’1, 210 pounds. Palmer can compete for Los Angeles’ #3 WR spot this year. And Mike Williams is due to hit free agency next offseason.
61 Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR CLE N/A 1
62 Laviska Shenault, WR JAC N/A 1 Shenault flashed as a run-after-catch specialist as a rookie. We’ll see how new HC Urban Meyer evaluates his role, but Shenault, 23 in October, has the size, skill set and college production worth betting on. The Trevor Lawrence addition is clearly huge. And it’s worth noting that DJ Chark enters a contract year, while Marvin Jones is 31.
63 Marquez Callaway, WR NO N/A 1
64 Robby Anderson, WR CAR N/A 5 Anderson was awesome in his 1st year with the Panthers, finishing top 13 among WRs in targets, catches and yards. Now he reunites with QB Sam Darnold. This might be Anderson's final year in Carolina, though. He's set to hit free agency next offseason, and the Panthers just added rookie Terrace Marshall. Anderson is 28.
65 Russell Gage, WR ATL N/A 3
66 Julio Jones, WR TEN N/A 10 Julio played just 9 games last year — his lowest tally since 2013. While he’s lost a step, there’s little doubt he’s still good enough to excel alongside an efficient QB like Ryan Tannehill. Tennessee’s run-first approach is expected to remain, though. Jones, 32, is signed through the 2023 season.
67 Dyami Brown, WR WAS N/A 0 Brown excelled as a deep threat at UNC. With 4.45 speed, he tallied 20.0+ yards per catch in consecutive seasons. His tape led to a John Brown/Nelson Agholor comp from our own Jared Smola. The Round 3 pick likely has a WR2 ceiling.
68 K.J. Osborn, WR MIN N/A 1
69 Tim Patrick, WR DEN N/A 3
70 D'Wayne Eskridge, WR SEA N/A 0 Even if you believe in Eskridge as a prospect, what’s the upside here? Seattle’s #3 WR has totaled 53, 34 and 47 targets the past 3 seasons. D.K. Metcalf is signed through 2022 and Tyler Lockett through 2025. Eskridge doesn’t have much time to wait around considering he’s already 24.
71 Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR GB N/A 3
72 Sterling Shepard, WR NYG N/A 5 While Shepard lacks big play upside, he’s provided a safe floor with 57+ catches in all 5 pro seasons. The 27-year-old's floor will be tested following the additions of Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney. Getting a breakout season from Daniel Jones will be key.
73 Kendrick Bourne, WR NE N/A 4
74 Amari Rodgers, WR GB N/A 0 Rodgers doesn’t have high-end size or athleticism but should be NFL-ready coming out of Clemson and is good after the catch. His short-term value takes a hit with the arrival of Randall Cobb. Plus, it's quite possible he plays only 1 season alongside Aaron Rodgers.
75 Mecole Hardman, WR KC N/A 2 Hardman came out of Georgia as raw product, and he’s showed it through 2 seasons. But the offseason loss of Sammy Watkins puts Hardman in his best spot for targets to date. The 24-year-old is signed for 2 more seasons, but 2021 looks like a make-or-break campaign.
76 Tre'Quan Smith, WR NO N/A 3
77 Jamison Crowder, WR NYJ N/A 6
78 Jalen Reagor, WR PHI N/A 1 There wasn't much positive to take away from Reagor's rookie season. But he dealt with a couple of injuries and played on a crappy Eagles offense. The 2020 1st-rounder is a decent "buy-low" right now.
79 Bryan Edwards, WR LVR N/A 1 Injuries derailed Edwards' rookie year. But recall that he entered the season as a starter before getting hurt. Now healthy, Edwards has been among the league's most hyped players in training camp. With an early breakout age, plus size and intriguing opportunity, Edwards looks like a 2021 breakout candidate.
80 Marvin Jones, WR JAC N/A 9
81 Anthony Schwartz, WR CLE N/A 0 Schwartz was an actual track star in high school and college and blazed a 4.27-second 40 time at his Pro Day. There’s not much else to his game besides speed right now, but the Browns did spend a 3rd-round pick on him. We’ll see what their plans are for him. The downside is that Odell Beckham is signed through 2023; Jarvis Landry through 2022.
82 Denzel Mims, WR NYJ N/A 1 Injuries limited Mims to 9 games (and 23 catches) as a rookie. Then, the offseason brought the arrival of Round 2 pick Elijah Moore and free agents Corey Davis and Keelan Cole. Not ideal. Mims is a questionable fit for new OC Mike LaFleur’s offense, which prioritizes catch-and-run specialists.
83 Allen Lazard, WR GB N/A 3
84 Darius Slayton, WR NYG N/A 2
85 Cole Beasley, WR BUF N/A 9
86 K.J. Hamler, WR DEN N/A 1 Durability is a concern here for the 5'9, 180-pounder. But Hamler, 22, is just a 2nd-year Round 2 pick with truly rare speed. Plus, Courtland Sutton’s current contract will expire next spring.
87 Tyler Johnson, WR TB N/A 1
88 Josh Reynolds, WR DET N/A 4
89 Nelson Agholor, WR NE N/A 6
90 Tutu Atwell, WR LAR N/A 0 Rams HC Sean McVay reportedly sees Atwell as a young version of DeSean Jackson. That’s exactly who Atwell figures to be playing behind at least to open 2021. Jackson, of course, has always had trouble staying healthy, so Atwell could find himself with a sizable role this season. The big difference between those 2 guys, though, is that Jackson is 175 pounds and Atwell just 149. Tough to imagine him becoming a real fantasy asset at that weight.
91 A.J. Green, WR ARI N/A 10
92 Mike Strachan, WR IND N/A 0
93 Laquon Treadwell, WR JAC N/A 5
94 Jalen Guyton, WR LAC N/A 2
95 Tylan Wallace, WR BAL N/A 0 Wallace slid all the way into the late 4th round as the WR19 -- a reminder of his athletic limitations and prior ACL tear. The landing spot with the run-loving Ravens isn’t great, either. (They also added Rashod Bateman in Round 1.) But Wallace at least finds opportunity to win a top 3 spot on the depth chart. And he brings a strong college production profile.
96 Quez Watkins, WR PHI N/A 1
97 Dez Fitzpatrick, WR TEN N/A 0 Fitzpatrick (6'2, 208) went earlier than expected in the early 4th round as WR16. Unfortunately, he landed on a squad that's set at WR right now with A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. He could push Josh Reynolds for the WR3 job in 2021.
98 James Washington, WR PIT N/A 3
99 Ihmir Smith-Marsette, WR MIN N/A 0
100 Seth Williams, WR DEN N/A 0 Williams faces an uphill battle as a 6th-round pick joining a currently loaded Broncos WR corps. It’s worth noting, though, that Courtland Sutton is currently slated to hit free agency next offseason. At 6’3, 211 pounds with a 37-inch vertical, Williams could be the Sutton replacement in a best-case scenario.
101 Jaelon Darden, WR TB N/A 0
102 Devin Duvernay, WR BAL N/A 1
103 Keelan Cole, WR NYJ N/A 4
104 Simi Fehoko, WR DAL N/A 0 Fehoko is an intriguing developmental prospect: A 6’4, 222-pounder with 4.44 speed, a 34.5-inch vertical and nice agility. He’s a long shot for 2021 fantasy value, of course. But beyond that, Michael Gallup will be a free agent next offseason and there’s a chance Amari Cooper will be a salary-cap casualty with his $22 million price tag.
105 Sammy Watkins, WR BAL N/A 7
106 Racey McMath, WR TEN N/A 0
107 Isaiah McKenzie, WR BUF N/A 3
108 Cam Sims, WR WAS N/A 3
109 Dazz Newsome, WR CHI N/A 0
110 Marquez Stevenson, WR BUF N/A 0
111 Kelvin Harmon, WR WAS N/A 2
112 Parris Campbell, WR IND N/A 2
113 Quintez Cephus, WR DET N/A 1
114 Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR WAS N/A 1
115 Zach Pascal, WR IND N/A 3
116 Miles Boykin, WR BAL N/A 2
117 Scott Miller, WR TB N/A 2
118 Collin Johnson, WR NYG N/A 1
119 Tyron Johnson, WR LVR N/A 1
120 Dede Westbrook, WR MIN N/A 4
121 Andy Isabella, WR ARI N/A 2
122 N'Keal Harry, WR NE N/A 2
123 Damiere Byrd, WR CHI N/A 6
