Jets S Calvin Pryor returned to full action Monday, 9 days after suffering a concussion in practice. Pryor had returned to non-contact drills in recent days, but doctors cleared him for full contact Monday. HC Rex Ryan said, per ESPN New York, that Pryor might still play in Thursday night's preseason opener: "If he's cleared and he feels good, and he's not at risk, we'll throw him out there some. It might not be with the (starters), but he needs to get work. As soon as he's ready to go, we'll put him out there." Barring any further physical setback, we still expect Pryor to start come Week 1.
The Jets have ruled out S Calvin Pryor (ankle) for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Marcus Williams should start in his place for the 2nd straight week. He didn't do much (4 tackles) against Oakland and shouldn't garner much IDP consideration. The swap doesn't impact the team D, as Pryor has continued to provide nothing special in the Jets' secondary in his 2nd season.
The Jets have ruled S Calvin Pryor (ankle) out for Sunday's game at Oakland after he missed practice all week. That's no big loss for IDP owners, as Pryor hasn't delivered big tackle numbers or big plays in 2015. Feel free to drop him for help at DB or elsewhere.
Jets S Calvin Pryor left Sunday's game against the Lions with a thigh injury. We'll see about the severity, but Pryor hasn't been much of an IDP factor to this point anyway.
Jets rookie S Calvin Pryor suffered a concussion Saturday during kick-return drills, Jets HC Rex Ryan told The Star-Ledger. Pryor didn't take the field Sunday, and the team has Sunday off. Pryor will have to pass through the league's concussion protocol before returning to the field. Assuming he can get past this issue, Pryor will remain an intriguing option in the 2014 IDP rankings.
Jets HC Rex Ryan couldn't help but gush over 1st-round S Calvin Pryor on Saturday. "It’s rare that it comes easy, and you can see it in there," Ryan said after a team workout, per The Star-Ledger. "The way he communicates, just everything. He has really been everything that we’ve wanted and then some. Really been impressed with him. I think he’d be probably the No. 1 guy that jumps out at me (from rookie mini camp so far).” Ryan said all of his top 3 safeties will play this season, but we're betting on starter reps for Pryor. He could deliver fantasy-starter value right away and will certainly appear in our 2014 IDP rankings.
