Texans TE Garrett Graham (back) is officially inactive for today’s game against the Redskins. C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin will operate as Houston’s top-2 TEs, but neither is a reliable fantasy option.

Recent Shark Bites

The Broncos have signed TE Garrett Graham to a 1-year deal.  He's reuniting with HC Gary Kubiak, who was with Graham in Houston from 2010-2013.  After catching just 1 ball across those first 2 seasons, Graham posted lines of 28-263-3 and 49-545-5 in the next 2.  He's totaled just 22 receptions over the last 2 seasons, though, and turns 30 in August.  There's playing time up for grabs in Denver, but we'd bet on both Jeff Heuerman and Virgil Green over Graham.

Texans TE Garrett Graham (back) returned to practice on Wednesday.  It puts him on track to play against the Raiders this weekend.  Graham is a fine roster stash as a matchup play when bye weeks start to hit, but you should be able to do better for a Week 2 starter.

Texans TE Garrett Graham (back) is not expected to play against the Redskins today, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.  Graham was listed as questionable but didn't practice at all this week, so he shouldn't be considered a lock to be ready for Week 2.  Rookie TE C.J. Fiedorowicz is expected to start in Graham's place today, with TE Ryan Griffin also seeing more action.  Neither guy is a recommended fantasy play.

Texans TE Garrett Graham (back) is a game-time decision for Sunday's opener against the Redskins, according to HC Bill O'Brien.  Graham did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.  He could emerge as a spot starter this season but shouldn't be in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Texans TE Garrett Graham has "gotten a ton of looks" in training camp, according to insider John Harris.  "Has lined up in as many spots on the offense as you can imagine," Harris adds.  Graham is set to play the "move" role and be the top receiving TE in HC Bill O'Brien's TE-friendly offense.  That gives Graham the potential to emerge as a valuable spot starter this season.  He's currently going outside the first 16 rounds of fantasy drafts.
