Huff "looks significantly better" this year

Eagles insider Jeff McLane notes that WR Josh Huff "looks significantly better" in this year's training camp than he did last.  That's not necessarily saying a whole lot since Huff was brutal as a rookie.  But he's drawn some positive press this offseason and has been getting 1st-team reps in camp.  Huff is still in a dogfight with Nelson Agholor and Riley Cooper for targets behind Jordan Matthews and remains just a late-round flier for now. But we're excited to get a look at Huff's progress this preseason.

The Eagles spent a 2nd straight pick on a WR Friday night, selecting Oregon's Josh Huff in the 3rd round of the 2014 NFL draft.  Huff's coming off easily the best year of his college career, jumping to 62 catches after a previous high of 32.  He racked up 1,140 yards and 12 TDs, averaging an impressive 18.4 yards per catch.  NFL Network's Mike Mayock said Huff can play the slot or outside, and Eagles HC Chip Kelly should know him as well as anyone.  Kelly, of course, recruited Huff and coached him through his 1st 3 college years.  Huff joins 2nd-rounder Jordan Matthews in a solid WR corps led by Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper.  Huff looks like a potential 3rd receiver if Maclin walks after 2014.
