TE Ben Watson has agreed to a deal with the Ravens, according to insider Jeff Zrebiec.  It's a strange move from both sides.  Watson was a strong fit in New Orleans, where he just posted a career-best 74-825-6 line.  Baltimore, meanwhile, spent a 2nd-round pick on TE Maxx Williams a year ago and got a solid 2nd season from TE Crockett Gillmore.  Of course, Williams had a disappointing rookie campaign, and Gillmore underwent offseason surgeries on both shoulders.  Still, Watson figures to find himself in some sort of committee in 2016.  None of Baltimore's TEs project as weekly fantasy starters.  Meanwhile, Saints TE Josh Hill might get another chance to capture the starting job.

The Patriots are re-signing TE Ben Watson, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Watson was surprisingly never activated after serving his 4-game suspension to open the season, and it's unclear exactly what kind of role he'll play for the Pats going forward. There's certainly opportunity, though, on a TE depth chart topped by Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo.

The Patriots elected not to activate TE Benjamin Watson by Monday's deadline. That means the veteran hits waivers. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Watson does want to continue playing somewhere. He had, of course, announced his retirement before signing with New England in the offseason. Looks like the Patriots will proceed with Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo as their top TEs.

ESPN's Field Yates reports that Patriots TE Ben Watson is not traveling with the team to Washington and will not play in Sunday's game. The team must have decided to use his roster spot for another player. If the Patriots don't activate him by Monday afternoon, though, they would have to release Watson, according to Doug Kyed of NESN. Expect Watson to be back on the roster for the Week 6 Thursday night game against the Giants.

Patriots TE Ben Watson won't play against the Redskins on Sunday, according to ESPN's Field Yates. Watson is eligible to return from his 4-game suspension, so it's unclear if he's not ready to play or if he's not part of New England's current plans. Watson is only worth stashing in deep and TE-premium fantasy leagues.

Patriots TE Ben Watson sustained a concussion in Thursday night's preseason game against the Panthers. It's the 6th documented concussion of his career. Watson is suspended for the first 4 games of the season, though, so he should be ready to go when first eligible in Week 5.
