Raiders TE Clive Walford will be a "big part of what we do,” according to OC Musgrave said. “He has a lot of ability," Musgrave added. Oakland spent a 3rd-round pick last year on Walford, who caught 15 balls over his final 5 games as a rookie. He missed spring workouts after injuring his knee in an ATV accident but has participated in all but 1 training-camp practice. Walford has the talent to emerge as the #3 target in the Raiders' passing game and is an intriguing target at his 15th-round ADP.
The Jets have signed TE Clive Walford. The 2015 third-round was a major bust in Oakland, totaling just 70 catches and 6 TDs across the past 3 seasons. He's still just 26, though, and looked like a promising prospect coming out of Miami. Most importantly, Walford is joining a Jets TE depth chart that includes only Jordan Leggett, Neal Sterling and Eric Tomlinson. Walford might just be the favorite to lead the group in targets this year. He's not someone to aggressively pursue in early best-ball drafts, but he'll be worth monitoring this summer.
