The Chargers have placed WR Keenan Allen on IR. It officially ends his season after the Week 1 torn ACL. The good news is that Allen will have had just about 12 months to recover before the start of the 2017 campaign. He'll still be only 25 years old at that point and remains a strong dynasty hold. San Diego will move forward with Travis Benjamin, Tyrell Williams and Dontrelle Inman atop the WR depth chart, although TE Antonio Gates and RB Danny Woodhead could compete for the target lead the rest of the way.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen is already back at practice after injuring his ankle last week. "He’s in great shape, explosive and looks really good," HC Ken Whisenhunt said on Wednesday. "In practice today, he looked good again. He rolled his ankle a little bit last week and he was back out there today. I’m really excited about Keenan." Allen won't play in the final 2 preseason games but is clearly on track to be ready for Week 1. He remains a safe pick in the 3rd round of fantasy drafts.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen suffered an ankle injury at practice this week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Allen isn't expected to play in the 3 remaining preseason games but is expected to be ready for Week 1, per Schefter. We're not moving Allen in our WR rankings right now but will keep a close eye on him as we move toward the start of the season.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hip) is active for tonight’s game vs. Baltimore. As expected, he'll give it a go following limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday. There’s certainly risk here, but Allen still resides in the top-20 of our Week 16 WR rankings.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hip) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game against the Ravens. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday and is expected to play in this one. We'll find out for sure around 7 pm ET on Saturday. As long as he's active, Allen will be a low-end WR1 vs. a Baltimore defense that's a neutral matchup for slot receivers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Keenan Allen is expected to play Saturday night against Baltimore. Allen returned to a limited practice Wednesday after sitting out Tuesday with his hip injury. We'll certainly keep an eye on his status the rest of the week, right up until Saturday night's kickoff. If he's active, Allen will belong in nearly all fantasy lineups. His presence knocks Tyrell Williams down the Week 16 WR rankings.
